How old is she? Why didn't she want any mirover? Why is she so stuborn? I would think she would appreciate the help. Author Reply: No one's really sure how old she is; even her. Most people would be very grateful for the help and very happy to be alive. This one sees things in a different light. Thank-you for reviewing.

"Please bury my boots with me." She just makes me laugh so hard! And I love how stubborn she is about dying and how stubborn he is about her not dying. Hehe. Author Reply: And I love how stubborn she is about dying and how stubborn he is about her not dying. It becomes a recurring theme. She thinks she's about to die. He saves her. she wishes she were dead and considers murdering him. They have an interesting relationship.

I had somehow missed this! I love the finder's sceptic frame of mind. She would never have imagined Mandos' Halls would be so aromatic. LOLOL! that was fun! And you make me wonder.. Did we ever get to know the tale of Haleth's boots, or that is another tale waiting to be told? Also, her sentence got me thinking "It shall be needed later.." Let me think: we have a sword, the black arrow, later a palantir... is Cirdan building a museum? no, I' joking, but i'm seeing intersting threads all aroudn taht I ahd not glimpsed earlier. NAd other thing that I like in this tale is that they both gain a kind of mithycal quality. Well, we know Inglor has it, but Haleth being called The finder, she knwoing things Inglor does not know, her determination to retrieve the black arrow and her knwoing that the time of legends is passing... well that gives the whole tale an extra depth that is very much welcome. But poor woman, to feel so wrteched and being cared after by such a wondrous creature! No wonder she hates her own vulnerability and his more than perfect innocence! I love these two characters. Author Reply: It's taken nearly half a year for me to reply to your review. I can only beg your pardon. The poor Finder has a very literal way of looking at the world. She'd really, really like things to go her way, but fate keeps stepping in and stomping on her expectations. You'd think she'd get used to it. Is Cirdan building a museum? ROTFL!!!! I can just see the newspaper article. Mithlond, long the Elvish centre for shipbuilding, has fallen upon hard times now that most of the Elves have sailed for the Blessed Realm. Faced with declining revenues from ship building, Cirdan had decided to expand the local economy to embrace tourism. To that extent he had hired the services of a professional collector to find various and sundry artifacts for the tourists to gawk at (and spend their money while doing it.) It is extremely undignified to be cared for by another, particularly when one is proud and if the Finder is anything, she is proud. Thanks again.

I wouldn't want to be in Haleths shoes right now with the way she feels, once again your descriptions are so good I could almost feel her pain. The black arrow now has me wondering why it is so important? Why it must br given to Cirdan? Inglor is his usual sweet self and I am sure Haleth will be taken care of, very good chapter the only thing that will make it better is another one! LOL! Deb Author Reply: Thank-you, Elfingimp. Before antibiotics pneumonia was very often fatal. It's hard to imagine how horrible it would feel. You'd almost drown in your own lungs, especially when lying flat. Somehow, somewhere, Inglor learned enough about mortals to keep her propped up so she could breathe. There's finally another chapter. I apologize for taking so long to post it. Haleth
