Hello, I loved Hidden Treasure, it was completely delightful! The vision of stern Thranduil 'mothering' a toddler and being mothered in turn by Rose was irresistible. A visit by all to Greenwood would be a terrific sequel... Maureen Author Reply: Goodness! How nice to find a new review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. I wanted to see what those stern Elf-lords and warriors would do if faced with Rose in her own house. Hmmm - a visit to the Greenwood...........! Thanks for reviewing.

Oh BB...This was wonderful. However when Goldie thanked Thranduil for her nap, I nearly melted into a pool of fluffy goo. :oD Just too, too adorable for words that. Hidden treasure indeed and dare I hope that the Shire's hidden treasures share another not so hidden Shire treasure w/Glorfindel and Thranduil? That of the beverage of The Green Dragon? Hmmmm? :oD Just wondering. This really was delightful BB. :o) Author Reply: Oh dear! You and Shirebound? Little puddles of goo forming everywhere. My work here is complete! *grin* Glorfindel and Thranduil at the Green Dragon? Not to mention Haldir! Hmmmmmmm! Now there's a prospect - tiddly Elves weaving their way along the lanes of Hobbiton. Glad you enjoyed.

Ah, just what I needed – Glorfindel and Thranduil in the Shire, snuggling up with little Hobbits and eating Rose’s delicacies! Perfect! "You must come and visit it, and see it in all its glory." Yeeessss! You realise now I want this story, too? Frodo laughed. "I fear the peace of the Greenwood might be a little unsettled if we bring the entire family!" Particularly if the family should include Merry and Pippin ;-) The end is beautiful, BB. I absolutely love the image of Frodo and Sam shining with the light of Laurendil and Telperion. Hidden treasures, indeed! (And of course it will not be Thranduil’s and Glorfindel’s last visit. Now that they have tasted Rose’s cooking ...) Um ... is there any hope for an update of the centenary birthday story? Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed the snuggly Elves and hobbits! Hmmm..... A visit to the Greenwood eh? Now there's a plot bunny! And certainly I think Glorfindel, Thranduil and the other Elves will be back. I've been trying to finish the latest chapter of the centenary birthday. RL keeps getting in the way and a stray cat and a litter of kittens took up a great deal of my time. It is almost finished though.

Yes, a hidden treasure indeed has dwelt there, although more and more appreciate just how wonderful a place it is as time progresses, I think. Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed it, Larner. I hope more people come to appreciate the marvels of the Shire.

That's just delightful! I love the images of the two ancient elves with armfuls of wee!hobbits. *grin* And do I detect the hint that the Gamgee clan might visit the Greenwood? (You should give Rose's recipes--especially the one for the cherry cake!) Author Reply: Yes, I could just see the two Elves with their arms full of tiny hobbits! :-) As for a visit to the Greenwood........well, you never know. Hmmmmm. I think I may have to compile a recipe page!

Goldilocks stirred, smiled up at Thranduil and gave him a hug. "Fank oo for my nap," she said with a beaming smile *melts clean away* Oh my goodness, the lights of the Trees! That's the loveliest idea ever. Now that Thranduil, Glorfindel, and Haldir have visited the Shire once, I certainly hope they make a habit of it (or a nice looooong visit). Wheeeee. Author Reply: You win that first prize again! Well, I did have them all at Elanor's wedding so I thought I'd have a peek at their first visit. It certainly won't be their last, I'm sure! *Hands out tissues to mop up melted Shirebound*
