| Awwww! I love the image of the Cat having a cuddle with Aragorn - and swearing his oath. The dear brave soul. Now he has been given a number of responsibilities but he will carry out his duties wisely I am sure. *bows in honour of Alqualonde's high lineage* Author Reply: Very sorry for the late response... just going thru the tale to make sure I responded to all the wonderful reviews and had to thank you for your kind support! | What a touching chapter. I can just picture Alqua standing on his hind legs, paw over heart, giving his oath to Elessar. That would really shock anyone who happened to walk by. He’ll be quite busy running back and forth between his charges. That should keep him from worring overmuch about the battle to come. | This was my favourite chapter so far.What a delightful surprise that the cat should swear fealty to Aragorn and accept a cuddle! I can just hear him purring. Author Reply: Thank you, Linda... | Yes! Kitty is going to be all right! Whew, I am so glad he swore that oath. Sweet little mite. He may think himself powerful, but as all kitties, he needs one human he can totally trust and love. Feral cats are the saddest and live the shortest lives of the small feline population. Yes, I am a passionate 'cat lover' and am not the least timid about it. | I LOVE this chapter! The soon-to-be-King giving responsibility to his new subject. Alqualondë really does have much to do during Aragorn's absence. | Oh, that was lovely, to see that Oath, from the Cat to the King--and though he's not yet crowned, the Cat now knows he is indeed, the King! And what an excellent plan for Minas Tirith, to have one who knows the way, and able to help with an evacuation, if things went badly. But now the hardest time--the time of waiting--begins... Author Reply: LOL - Ah Dreamflower... it would have been the perfect moment, except - the Cat wanted a sword... Can you imagine an oath like this without a sword??? He railed and ranted at me, but I could not figure out how to get him one, nor how he would ever wield it. :-) Waiting sometimes really stinks... but he's got a few friends to fall back upon... ones he doesn't even know yet exist. Should be fun - thanks for staying for the ride! | |

| A magnificent chapter! I love Alqua swearing his allegiance to Elessar with the full oath, and Elessar giving the full, correct reply. That was wonderful! LOL The King did give the cat a lot to manage, but Alqua is up to the challenge. And I'm glad he is willing to rethink his views on the wizard ;-) Most Excellently Well Done, Agape!!
