I like how you use modern concepts (massage, counselling techniques) and integrate them into this setting. You do it very convincingly. I had to laugh at the idea of a special detention cell for obnoxious dignitaries! Oh, and you brought Ioreth into the story and made her speak for woman power. Yay! The dilemma Aragorn finds himself in is very well put.

Ah yes, the "mob mentality"... "He killed a guard!" "Well, the guard *was* an evil bastard-" "Doesn't matter! He killed a guard! GET HIM!" *headdesk* Well, I hope some sort of solution can come out of all of this. You know, without the crazy "mob mentality" killing him... I hear Dol Amroth is lovely this time of year *sends the couple packing and ships them off* XD BTW, one minor correction: It should be 'Maiar' rather than 'Maier'. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review and for pointing out the typo which I've fixed. The problem is that Ostopher refuses to tell the world what Maglor did, but let us hope Aragorn can find a just solution. Your idea is a good one.

Good chapter. Needless to say, I've got my fingers crossed for the young carpenter... but how much fun it was to see Ioreth again! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm crossing my fingers for Ostopher too!I found it fun to write Ioreth,a character I have a soft spot for.

Now Aragorn has to figure out how to cross the fine line between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. Will Law or Justice prevail? Good chapter; the mystery is solved, but the fate of the young lovers still in doubt, even in the king's hands. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter. We will have to trust Aragorn to do the right thing!

Maglor has too much to answer for before Namo, I'm thinking. Alas for what he did and to what that led! Love the characterizations. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Yes,Maglor has indeed a lot to answer for.I'm pleased you liked the characterisations.

You're really improving this story. This second version is so much more subtle than the original one. What a sad story! Star crossed lovers indeed. Aragorn is in a quandary, is he not? But being so wise-hearted, I'm sure he'll find a just and kindly solution to the problem now facing him. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. This story has taken on a life of it's own.It was originally only meant to be the first chapter, but a friend was convinced there was more to Ostopher than meets the eye. I am still discovering just how much more!I'm sure Aragorn will do his best to find a solution.
