| LOL ohhhhhh my, I'm not sure if you're terribly funny, or thoroughly evil... Perhaps both? But to comment on your research, which I do take very seriously, honestly... your review of courtship rituals was rather interesting - I'm sure once you tried out their wine it became even more interesting, huh? Any ill post-drinking effects I conclude was due you after your previous treatment of elves! As were any objects thrown your way! [launches empty wine bottle in authors' general direction] I was relieved to have found some concrete research on the Mary Sue effect - it explains so much! I do hope you continue your efforts, as it can only help to end the poaching of elves [please do add me to the petition]. But next time, I'd leave home the band-aids... And "hircles" I had a suggestion, btw, about testing the magnetic discharge - couldn't you simply carry magnets? It would be relatively harmless to the elves, although you may find them gravitating to you much more often. And would that be a bad thing...? By the way, I bet it was Zippy... monica | |

| Oh, how hilarious! I almost didn't read it after remembering my shock over what you did to Legolas in "Dissection" (for shame!), but I'm certainly glad my curiosity got the better of me. Your send-up on the dispassionate writing style of scientific treatises, and the barely surfacing controversies that can sometimes be detected in them, as well as your keeping up the facade of the SRDM even when replying to fan reviews, are all superb. Thanks for a very entertaining and, well, *different* work of fan fiction! | |

| Hysterical! Okay, these are weird; very, very, weird, but *absolutely* hysterical! It seems like they ought to be offensive, but they aren't! A skewed but very original glimpse of some of my favorite Elves! | "The Elves did not appear to favor lice or tick consumption even when researchers offered the insects." Mwahahahaha!! Oh, so glad to see the research department is ready with their final report. It's been a long dry wait for it. Lovely theory on Elvish attunement to nature, and the plants' response back. Poor Zippy! They prefer not to stray from their original habitat, "much as the rabbit" (!) "Dirge-esque songs of mourning" accompaning the migration, and the comparison to lemmings! I can't quote any more, I'm laughing too hard. I readily sign my name to the petition lobbying for the painful death of all Mary Sue species, and stand ready and willing to lead hunting parties in pursuit of them. Also please note that my own Mark I and Mark II LEGOLASes are alive and well, and my Legolas muse shows good signs of recovery now that he's almost out of Moria. I note that JastaElf's Legolas muse is still in dire straights, however, and Irena's has been in considerable distress for over a year now. Some form of ticketing or strongly worded note may be needed to get these authors to hurry up and update, already. The marinus stiria department could come along a wee bit faster too, now that the SRDM has vacated the playing field, at least for the moment. Hmm, I think Ithilien has a bullwhip that might be useful. Brilliant, funny, very creative work as always. Very, very well done. And I wouldn't grieve too much for Phoebus just yet. If he really is Thranduil, I think those poachers are gonna get what's coming to them. Lamiel | |
