Bandobras was just in time - I was terrified for poor Tamin there. The situation just seems to be getting darker all the time. I do hope we get some answers soon. Author Reply: Yes, nick-of-time rescues appear to be Bandobras' specialty! Don't worry, answers are forthcoming! Thanks for reviewing.

I'm going to post a quick-ish review because it's getting absurd - I've read all of the "Green Knight" stories in recent weeks, at a v. rapid pace, and could write pages and pages about what I like about them, and why. But since I AM supposed to be working and being a mom and buying groceries and what-not, that's not going to happen in the foreseeable future. As I wrote in my initial review of the brilliant "Pottymouth" over at LOTR, I'm late to this party, having only very recently started to look at Lord of the Rings fanfiction. Other commenters here have a deeper knowledge of both the canon (though I have read the books, more than once) and the other fanfic that's out there. And other commenters have already praised large-scale and small-scale aspects of your work that I also like very much. So I don't want to get repetitious at you. But I have to say, this is wonderful work - in ANY genre. You can really, really write, and in the case of these stories you've mastered a difficult style and breathed new life into it. The characters and stories feel immediate and real - quite a feat given the plots you're spinning! I've seen you remark that you like your OC's best, and I do like them very much as well (am in love with Bandobras and fast falling for Tamin). But it is a delight as well to read your beautiful, fractious, tender, fierce Legolas, as well as your Gimli, Faramir, Eowyn. There are tons of terrific little details in every chapter - and each one informs the characters and/or plot. As for this particular story ... well, I'll avoid inserting any emoticons or typing "OMG!!!!" over and over again like your 21st-century Lottie. But it is seriously doing me in. I've become terribly spoiled, reading one of your stories after another in the full knowledge that the last chapter has long since been posted. Now I'm caught up and trapped as surely as one of Shelob's victims. It's agony not to know what's coming next, and yet there's a certain pleasure mixed with the pain. NB you've written some of the hottest and most delightful bedroom (and everywhere else room) scenes I've ever read, and now, in the preceding chapter, you've written one of the absolute ickiest. Ugh! You've got some serious range. Shears and magical hair - hmm. Oropher's ring. Bad water. A torture chamber. Strange dwarves to the rescue. And surely Faramir and even Aragorn not TOO far behind? But I can't see how this is going to get sorted; I just have to trust you to do so! OK, I have so little time that I am going on and on. Please forgive, and please keep writing and writing and writing! And thank Nieriel Raina for me, because she's clearly doing fantastic work too. P.S. Everything I wrote about "Pottymouth" still stands, though I keep planning to write a more detailed review for you about that story and its sequel. Although I know the series are unrelated, it's interesting how many aspects of Legolas the Green Knight appear as well in Legolas the Elven Ass. You've really got him figured out. Author Reply: WOW. That was such a detailed and well-thought out review that I have to sort of sit here and drink it in. Wait, no; then I'll get a big head, and that's a terrible thing to do to a fanfic writer. Thank you, THANK YOU for your positive and encouraging words! I take tentative pride in my work, and I'm pleased that my offerings are being read and appreciated. I'm sorry it's taking me such a long time to update this particular fic. I know how spoiled one can get, reading through completed works, and running headlong into a WIP can really set one back. But I promise you, like I've promised all the other "OMG UPDATE SOON!" reviewers, that this fic WILL get finished, and strangely enough, more plot bunnies are nibbling on my ankles, promising further Pottymouth and Green Knight fun. Again, thank you for your review! You've really made my day.

Ah this story gets better and more mysterious with every chapter! :) I am glad Tamin, Bandy and the horses are ok after all of that. Now to find Legolas and the others! :D Can't wait for more! Author Reply: Thank you, Candiss! I just updated, so have fun!

There now! I *knew* Bandobras would come to the rescue!! *grin* I just loved seeing him in action and saving Tamin with only the help of a couple of strange Dwarves. The mystery you are weaving about the Master and his doings is getting deeper and murkier than ever! It's clear he's somehow enspelled the entire region, and has either chased off any Men of good will or managed by some sorcery to corrupt them all. And though some of what the "yellow-haired girl" feared was obvious, some of her other fears were far more cryptic. This is one cracking good thriller/adventure, you know! I think it's probably your best story so far! Author Reply: Thank you, Dreamflower! I'm glad I seem to be keeping everyone on tenterhooks. This may not be, as you so kindly suggested, my best story so far, but it is certainly the most convoluted, and a real challenge to write. I'm so pleased you're enjoying it. Thanks for the review!

So glad that Tamin is safe, I was so worry about him, the master play-room really seem scary. Poor girl too, you just can imagine all the abuse that she has taken and how they just kill her, I have the image of her, with her pinned hands now stuck in my head now, so much despair… there is definitively something rotting in Esgaroth... Good that we have some action and we have few kills, Goodness, I want all them dead...Tamin has good potential for being a Knight, and I just love Bandoras, valiant and gallant, and furious with Tamin but with compassion too, a great Knight. Dwarves? I thought that they were none of them n Esgaroth, but I'm grateful for their help, and of course, more people to help Legolas. Can’t wait for more, I'm really getting obsessive with this story, you are a GREAT writer, thanks and post soon. Oh! Just love Tamin thanking declaration to the dwarves, so histrionic, as you said. Author Reply: Thank you for the review, Fantasia! Yes, Bandobras has turned into a great knight, hasn't he? Now, if he can just keep Tamin alive long enough for the boy to win HIS spurs, they should make a truly ferocious pair. I just updated, so have fun with the next chapter!

You, my dear, are VERY fortunate. If you had not saved Tamin, I would have had to inflict serious damage! Bad enough what you did to Legolas. *glares* I was very sad the young girl died. It is horrific the things she hinted at that had happened to her. I'm rather glad most went over Tamin's head. And how compassionate he is to want to help her. This is a sad tale on many levels. So much corruption and abuse.... *shudders* Have I mentioned how much I love how you write dwarves? Love the two new OCs. I look forward to getting to know them better, and hope they provide some relief from the tension. It would also be nice if they have a whole passel of dwarves stashed somewhere to extricate Legolas and company swiftly. You still have me on pins and needles. No regrets so far. *grin* Author Reply: Hello, NiRi! Can you believe it's taken me this long to get things moving again? I am SO looking forward to school resuming; then I won't be spending so much time in the car with my Munchkin. And quit glaring at me; you know I love my characters and won't be mean to them. *cough* Well, not TOO mean. *ducks*
