A Report from the VBC Valinor  by Agape4Gondor 11 Review(s)
FimbrethilReviewed Chapter: 1 on 8/17/2025
son, well-known profligate, Prince Eldarion, was away from the City. He is reported to be on his way back to the Citadel. [Oh this kind, is he?] [From where, I wonder. And with whom?]

Nay! I am utterly dumbfounded. I had heard raconteur tales about events such as this having happened in the last age, but never in my lifetime. Standing next to me is Lord Faramir, Steward of Gondor. Lord Faramir, what think you of the King’s latest aberration?

I am as confused and surprised as the rest of our people; he is young. However, he has instructed that his crown be given to his son, Eldarion. I suppose that means his decision is final.
[Hummm]

Well, I am not one to speak ill of those not present to defend themselves, but the Prince’s latest actions have caused some ill feelings amongst King Elessar’s people. Especially the unfortunate incident with the Lady Beldis of Pelargir.[hummmm]
Be that as it may, that seems to be the King’s intent: to have Eldarion crowned as his successor.
Of course it would be. As Steward, I will pledge him fealty

Wait! Wait! I see Elessar getting off the table. He is walking to the… Oh! Naught! False alarm, Findaráto, just a quick stop at the privy. Now he is returning to the table. A wise decision, I think. Who knows how long he will be lying there waiting to be ‘spirited’ away. Sorry. Thank you, Lord Faramir
[Gosh. I was going to say is this an April Fool’s Joke or something.]

A clever and unique take on a famous moment.I hope it is all a ruse to give Eldarion a fright!

Author Reply: Hey - now that's an idea, Linda, for I wondered why on earth Faramir was still alive................

Pearl TookReviewed Chapter: 1 on 7/7/2008
This is one of the weirdest things I've ever read - but hilarious!! :-) :-)

I love the bit about him getting up for a trip to the privy - LOL!!!!

Thank you for the morning laugh :-)

(I wonder if I'm going to be the only dolt who clicks on the URL? LOL)

Author Reply: I thought it was weird too, Pearl Took. Just the Muse started chatting and it seemed fun and everything was going well until Aragorn stood up - I'm surprised Arwen didn't faint... though he had just laid himself down!

You know - I clicked on it myself just to 'see' if anything would show up!!! ROTFLMAO

Great use of news speak.
What has Eldarion been up to?
A trip to the loo from your deathbed - how sensible.
This is priceless
Loved it
Tithenaru

Author Reply: I haven't a clue as to what Eldarion was doing with that woman - and I really don't want to know!!!!

Very glad you liked this!

ROTFL! It's a good thing Aragorn 'went' before he left. I can just see him standing before the Lord of Mandos vainly trying NOT to cross his legs and Námo staring at him in disbelief, then sighing and rolling his eyes as he points. "Down the hall, third door on the left and make it quick, I've a deadline to make!"

Absolutely too wicked, Agape! And it's Monday afternoon here in China... just the thing to read while having my lunch. *grin*

Author Reply: Oh my goodness, Fiondil!!! You always make the Halls hysterical..........

Glad it gave you a kick for a Monday!

Agape--I am considering sending a number of wet noodles to you for this one! You know what must be done with them, of course! Heh!

Profligate? And what precisely happened with Lady Beldis? And Faramir's still around?

And love the visit to the privy! Hehehehehe!

Author Reply: Aw - Faramir didn't dare die and leave poor Aragorn alone with Eldarion!!!

Glad you enjoyed this.

Wet noodles were utilized to their fullest advantage.

That was fun! I loved it when he got up to go to the bathroom! Thank you for the laugh.

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed... I have no idea where that idea popped out of - except I'm watching waaaaaaaaay too much BBC America!

Kitt OtterReviewed Chapter: 1 on 7/6/2008
Oh, this was wonderful. "Have you ever seen anything like this?... Nay!..." - Clever parody of our own news-talk. And a quick stop to the privy! That is practical! *snorts and falls off chair*
-Kitt

Author Reply: *giggles* bends down to help Kitt up and hits head against chair....

Glad you enjoyed this... hope you didn't hurt yourself!

Uh, YOU ARE INSANE! And that's my final word on the matter. VERY funny fic thouh. LOL.

Author Reply: Thank you.... and Yes, there is a rather 'mad' quality that runs through the Muse - it's not my fault!

*snort* This was a wonderful Sunday morning laugh!!

Author Reply: I was kind of rolling on the floor myself when the idea came...

Sunday mornings are the best for laughter - though I know Mondays are when laughter is most needed... at least for me!
