| LOL!!! I wonder how many slices of cake Togo Goodbody actually had! Pippin liked the strawberry "licker" too, it seems! And Merry learned an important lesson: Pippin's reactions are always faster than you might imagine. So be careful! I enjoyed this story a great deal! | JUST a cake? I think not in this case, and I'm proud of Merry for trying his best to keep Pippin from drinking the liqueurs. Silly little Hobbit lad! And am glad the adults did THEIR best to protect the children by eating the cake themselves--valiant warriors of the dining table that they are! Heh! Even though at least one judge did fall to the enemy and became tipsy! And trust Saradoc to manage to get the last piece, and Bilbo to realize what had happened here! Author Reply: Yep, it was a daunting task, but someone had to do it!! And I have the feeling that Bilbo always knew what was going on with anything that happened around him.
