Any excuse not to wash, eh?
"Eldarion was silent, pondering whether his chosen career was quite as good as it appeared to be." That gave me the giggles again!
Oh, and there's nothing like a nice basin of gruel, preferably made by Serle - do you put these Austen jokes in on purpose?

I was actually thinking of the "Just William" books!

What irony! Aragorn and Faramir managed to keep Eldarion clean and forgot all about themselves. And Aragorn is as wise as usual: there's nothing in life that can be compared to happy moments shared with those we love. Well done.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It is ironic, isn't it that the men forgot about themselves? I'm delighted you enjoyed the story.

You've described such an idylic scene, Linda, that you made me wish to be there camping with them too. I'm glad they're having such a wondrous time. Aragorn and Faramir deserve it.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I feel honoured that the story makes you wish to be part of it!They do indeed deserve a nice time after all the adventures I inflict upon them!

Eldarion is certainly having a multitude of new experiences! I wonder if he'll ever become a real Ranger.

Looking forward to seeing how things end up.

I imagine that Aragorn would want Eldarion to spend some time as a Ranger when he grows up so he won't be a spoiled and useless prince!

Ah, the joys of a camper's breakfast. Good thing Faramir is a skilled man with milking--I finally got the fingering and rhythm right to milk a friend's cow, but would probably take a good hour to strip the cow's udder, I fear.

Love Eldarion's growing pleasure as he begins to see the attractions of camping.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I've never tried to milk a cow, I fear, you are braver than I! I guess Faramir will only take enough for their breakfast.I'm pleased you are enjoying the story.
