He needed all of his hope and strength by the end of things--and I do not mean only the Quest. I think this is such a marvelous and likely concept. We know how much care and prayer the Elven maidens put into the lembas. I cannot imagine they would put any less care into such a garment. | |

| And yet he must go on such a quest ... whispered Faenchiriel. There is great strength in Samwise Gamgee, as well as his gentleness and humility. He is my husband's favorite character in the story. | I reckon this is a brilliant idea for a story. It brings a glimpse of what is going on behind the main stories, and what roles little things play in those events. The description of Sam seems spot on and very much reminds us of why Sam was vital to the final quest. I look forward to the rest. | |

| This is really lovely, Virtuella; a great concept! We rarely see any of the behind-the-scenes people in Lorien; and I so like this characterisation of Galadriel's handmaidens - ladies of power and wisdom themselves. And the language is wonderful. One tiny error that looks like a typo - One for an elf, one for a dwarf, two for men with the statue of great warriors. Shouldn't it be stature, not statue? I'm looking forward to the rest. | How lovely! Very true that Sam was more than nurturer of plants and flowers, for he had nurtured his beloved master's heart just as much. I love the blessing. His soul never did shrivel even if Frodo's suffered so who abandoned hope, but indeed Hope never abandoned him. I look forward to more of these blessings.
