Oops almost missed this one. Eeww! Yuck! That would be a shocker! Author Reply: Yes - poor Elladan got more than he expected!

I swore I left a review for this here... but it appears I am mistaken. I really, really liked this one - and so appropriate for these dark October days! The boys did well not defiling the grave...

Young elves, faced with the remnants of a mortal life - a very poignant image! Author Reply: This was an elven warrior - but equally poignant for those who should be immortal.

Charming story (as usual) Jay. Don't know, your first draft may not have been too far off the mark. Depends on how young they were, my young sons for some reason known only to the Valar are fascinated by Skeletons, ghouls, mummys, or any thing that has to do with ripping heads off. I pray daily that this is just a phase. (**sighs**) Author Reply: Oh, I know young boys (and girls) love such things :) I just think that a real skeleton would still be a shock.

Oh, I agree--they would have respect in such a case. Author Reply: And Elladan would never have explored the tomb if he'd known what it was ...
