I liked this as I've always thought this was the time Aragorn and Legolas first met and you you give a plausible background for Aragorn's knowledge of the Nazgul.Very inventive and convincing. Author Reply: Thank you, I am glad you thought it convincing; always a more difficult aspect when writing fan fiction.

Nicely thought of, Lairė. And very possible too. It explains why Aragorn knew how to deal with the Nazgūl when he met them again at Amon Sūl; it explains that quote which headed your story, and it also gives a plausible explanation of how Aragorn met Legolas. Well done. Author Reply: Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed it, Estelcontar :)

Excellent reasoning to place this encounter at this time. And am glad to learn where he came upon the knowledge that aided him the chase off the Nazgul at Amon Sul. Author Reply: I was always curious as to how he learned it, myself, so I thought it reasonable to add it in there. Thanks for the review.

The ficlet is great Ainu Laire. I agree with your formal interaction of Legolas and Aragorn. The notes are also good to have. Author Reply: Thank you- and I am glad you like the notes, and are as interested in details as I am.

Nicely detailed, well researched. By the time "Strider" and the Hobbits had the encounter with the Ringwraiths on the slope of Weathertop, Aragorn knew to face them with fire. He had to have learned that somwhere. As for the formality between the two; I have read many very good tales proposing that a very young Estel could have met Legolas during contacts with the Elrondion twins. I am more inclined to believe that Legolas and his fellow Wood Elves did not have much contact with mortals except for the ones in the Laketown and Dale area. I like your timing as to how they might have met. You have created an atmosphere here. Their fear is well described. Author Reply: Thank you very much for the long, thoughtful review! I am glad that my small bit of research paid off. :)
