A very touching moment when Ceolwen is comforting Lothiriel. And whither now? Will Eomer speak to her? Musr ... read ... on ...

Ceolwen ist right - Lothiriel is indeed very young. And Éomer is too adorable and wonderful for words. And handsome. And strong... and hgbnftrgh... (and all that coming from a stury Aragorn-fan, mind you. But the way you write the Third Marshal of the mark simply turns my knees to jelly. I's downright embarrassing. *grins*) Cúthalion Author Reply: I had to giggle at the image of your knees turning to jelly. You're not turning into an Eomer fangirl, are you? *grins* It's funny how popular this chapter was with Eomer yelling at her. But then it shows how much he cares of course. Lia

Oh Bravo! You just never cease to amaze me! Great characterization, you had me shaking uder Eomer's tirade, poor Lotheriel! I can't wait for more! Author Reply: Hello Galimeril, did I really have you shaking? Lol. And I'm feeling a little bit guilty for what I've put Lothiriel through, but at least this way she's found out that Eomer is not completely indifferent to her. It's rather a bumpy road these two are travelling. Lia

Hi Lia! You have this story flowing along so smoothly. I'm glad you're still writing for all us fans. I haven't had a chance to leave a review for a while but have still been searching my emails for updates and avidly reading them. Fantastic to see that Lotheriel can give a bit of her own back with Eomer ha ha. Can't wait to see where this goes next. Always waiting patiently. Alatriel Author Reply: Hello Alatriel, it's good to hear you're still following the story, and thanks for reviewing! Lothiriel is probably stronger than she realises herself and when her own temper is sparked, is quite capable of holding her own against Eomer. Which I think would be necessary in the woman he marries - I can't see him going for 'meek and mild' for a wife. Lia

Absolutely lovely! so wonderfully written. Please update again very soon :-) Author Reply: Hello Elentarri, thank you for your kind words! It takes me about 10 days to write a chapter, even if real life cooperates, but I try to be as quick as possible. Lia

Oh, WELL done indeed! She's realizing he still cares deeply, she's found her hair's gone, she's exhausted--and she still carries on as well as she can. Imrahil did well with her! Author Reply: Hello Larner, yes, to carry on when your lovely hair is gone - if Eomer had the least sense that would tell him that she's not a typical court lady ;-) But I think Imrahil would be rather surprised to see his daughter coping like this. I'm not sure he knows that side of her. Lia

I enjoyed this chapter a lot! I'm glad that Lothiriel finally stood up to Eomer when he was so harsh with her in the cave. I know he was just scared that she would be hurt, but still... he can't treat her like that. Well, he can if he comes to his senses later! :) I'm glad that Ceolwen was able to speak to Lothiriel and give her some hope about Eomer and his feelings for her. Anyway, it was very nicely done and a most enjoyable chapter! Author Reply: Hello Radbooks, I think that deep down she still feels completely safe with him and knows he would never hurt her, so was able to stand up to him even though he was in one of his rages. I doubt that Master Herewald did as well! And she has a bit of a temper herself, although it's well controlled. So now she knows that Eomer still has feelings for her, but will she get the opportunity to speak to him about him? Lia

I agree Eomer is so angry because he cares. I loved Ceolwen and Aefe in this chapter. Another most enjoyable read. Author Reply: Hello Linda, at least thanks to Ceolwen's words of advice Lothiriel has found out why Eomer was so angry. Now it just remains to see what she makes with the information! Lia

Yey what an update!!! I'm totally digging this and to think they're so far from reconciling! Where to start? I think this is a pivotal chapter and will play a big "role" in future events. Eomer's reaction just shows how much he still cares for her and Lothy is understandably naive and blames herself too much--I find this endearing but Eomer must feel so soooo guilty! Was Eomer the one who approached her by the lake when she was being sick? It sounded to me that he was hovering around her for a good while right after his outburst. I'm guessing too that Ceolwen will have a role to play too in the reconciliation? Looking forward to more. Author Reply: Hello Whitewave, you are right that in a way this was a pivotal point, the nadir of their relationship, after which things will get (slowly) better. Lothiriel has been having a rough time, but at least she has found out that Eomer still cares for her, so in a way Ceolwen has already played her role in the reconciliation. And it was him hovering around when she was sick. He must feel very guilty, but at the same time they've got such a tangle of hurt feelings and misunderstandings between them that it will be difficult to cut through to the truth! Lia

Oh, this is such an exciting story! I am very impatient for the next chapter. I do hope Lothiriel doesn't get into anymore trouble. Thanks for writing! Author Reply: Hello Alquawende, how nice to hear from you again! And it's good to see you're still following the story. Lothiriel's troubles aren't completely over, but she will not have to face anything like this again. However, the war will go on a while longer of course. Lia
