Wow. Admittedly, that was a much better moment for the first kiss. My goodness, what a kiss! Well, if Cher is right with her Shoob-shoob-song, then he'll know now that she truly loves him... ;-) Author Reply: LOL! I'm not sure if the bards of Rohan know that song. And I'm pleased to hear you agree with my choice of when to have their first kiss ;-) Lia

I loved Aragorn as a vet here and this look at a famous scene from a new angle. I'm glad Lothiriel told Eomer how she feels, but will he understand?A great chapter. Congratulations on your MC Awards win! Author Reply: Hello Linda, all the things Tolkien did not tell us about Aragorn's time in Helm's Deep ;-) And she didn't really get the chance to say much to Eomer, but then perhaps a kiss is more meaningful anyway... Lia P.S. thanks for the congratulations!

I really, really enjoyed this chapter - no time for more details but I figured something is better than nothing! :) Author Reply: Hello Radbooks, I'm pleased to hear you liked it - thanks for taking the time to review! Lia

I would really love to leave a dignified, coherent and reasonable review, giving the proper praise this great chapter deserves. Instead I can only say what I already said in the last chapter: Hgbnftrgh. Aber wirklich. Cúthalion Author Reply: Hgbnftrgh? Bist Du sicher? *grins*

A delightful read! I was a thrilled fangirl all throughout starting from Eomer carrying her to bed and the detail about Felarof. Surely Eomer saw his old toy and hopefully drew the correct conclusions from what he saw--or at least probably help him sort out their misunderstanding. Ceolwen will still play a role, I think, as will Aragorn. Lothy's "first" meeting with Theoden was very telling of how Eomer still felt for her (but then we all know that). Eomer is still evidently jealous and is letting it cloud his judgement though I had to admire his self-control at this point. I just positively melted at their kissing scene. Go Lothy!!! You've done a good job in making me feel the tension of the war, etc. Author Reply: Hello Whitewave, we will find out eventually what Eomer thought of seeing his old toy by her bedside, but not for a while. And when he found her in a pile of smelly, old blankets he probably just couldn't resist her ;-) As for Eomer, even after their kiss, he's still conflicted about her, but her words might have started him thinking. He is having a hard time, because his heart and his mind do not agree! And Lothiriel will have a hard time in the coming weeks, waiting for news from Gondor. More of that in the coming chapters. Oh, what tension. There is some hope that ever-compassionate Heir of Elendil will talk some sense into Eomer. Or maybe there is no longer need in any friendly interference. Great story. A romance with lots of action and so few kisses! Author Reply: Hello Phyloxena, Aragorn probably has quite a good idea of things between them from just that one scene. However, as he doesn't know the background story, he probably won't interfere. But then it might not be necessary. And I promise more kisses in the future! Lia

ah, the frustration! I love it! Have a great week, keep up the stunningly great work! Author Reply: Hello Galimeril, I had to laugh at the contradiction of loving frustration! Have a great week, too. Lia

oh! I love how you conveyed all the tension about the war, the little time and all of Lothiriel's emotions in this chapter, especially towards the end. It's all done very well. I wonder what Lothiriel is going to do while Eomer and others leave to and fight in Gondor... or are you nearing the end of this story? I do hope not. Thanks for writing! Author Reply: Hello Alquawende, Lothiriel will stay in Helm's Deep for the rest of the war, it being the safest place to be. And she'll have plenty to do with all the wounded left behind. However, I think the waiting will be hard on her (and everybody else of course). It must be horrible not knowing what is happening to those you love and any news from Gondor is many days old. And I'm nowhere near the end of the story yet, my guess is that I'm only about 2/3 done. Lia

I love the idea of Aragorn patching up the dog! Go, Heir of Elendil! I think Lothiriel is right about her Uncle Denethor though. Interesting times ahead. So Eomer carried her to bed. I see Ceolwen is amused by the romance. But the scene on the balcony is not amusing at all. Rather it's painful and hot at the same time! Oddly, I found Eomer's dedication to duty almost as seductive as his kiss. Author Reply: Hello Daw, I had to chuckle myself at the picture of Aragorn patching up a dog. But then it's exactly the kind of thing he'd do, isn't it. And Ceolwen is just amused by Lothiriel's attempts to appear nonchalant, I think. Somehow everybody around them seems to recognise clearly what Eomer works to hard to deny to himself. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

I just want to cry, but at least, they are in the right path. It will be interesting to see them when the war finish, they separation wasn't unfriendly, but there is many thing between them that need to be clarified. I wanted her to tell all the truth, but I liked her kissing him before anything else, she is getting bold. I just want to see Gondor court when they’ll see Lothiriel with short hair. I supposed that Eomer can explain or she needs to star using a veil soon. Eomer will come back as a good friend to Prince Imrahil and with his sister in love with Faramir, very involve with her family. I wonder when she will be able to join them, maybe when the Rohir are back to Gondor to bring Theoden. If that is the case, there will be enough time for them to sort out their problems. Great chapter, it really shows what uncertain the future is during war periods and that you always need to make your feeling clear before separation, you never know if you will see a new day or your love ones again. Waiting for more updates and thanks... Author Reply: Hello Fantasia, I thought Lothiriel deserved a kiss before he rides off to war. Like you said, the future is so uncertain that you have to grab whatever chance is presented to you. She was probably just as surprised at her action as Eomer! But at the same time the Eomer on the Pelennor Fields does not really strike me like a man happily in love, so I did not think they'd have the time to resolve all their problems. However, she will get the chance to explain her side of the story, but not for a little while yet. First we'll have the rest of the war to get through. And about her hair, Lothiriel will actually come up with quite an inventive explanation for it... Lia
