| A wonderfully insightful chapter, Cathleen! So much is going on for poor Pippin and his family. I love how much they care for each other. I also really like Pippin's question, that he was thinking about how the other person feels. That is very mature of him. As always, eagerly awaiting more :-) MEWD!! | Ohhhhhh...what have I spotted here? :D A new Chapter! Its great! This dream Pip is having is truly disturbing. Looking forward to the conversation with his dad and also to luncheon, when Merry and Berilac are coming. Pip truly needs some lads around the farm. Maybe they can answer a few questions too... talking with a parent about such things is always harder than with peers. | I'm right proud of Pippin because he saved little Daisy's life *and* found the courage to voice his questions. But then there was that dream again! A frightening dream. It must be really disturbing to know that an accident will happen, but you don't know where or when or to whom. I'm just relieved that Pippin decided to speak to his father about it. He might be able to help him "decipher" his dream and to give him some peace. He really needs it at the moment. Author Reply: Hi Andrea, and thanks very much for continuing to follow my tale! | Oh, how perfect a chapter, and again, how realistic! He's starting to experience the Sight and with a vengeance, and doesn't know how to deal with it, and particularly with this dream of the river. We know rivers will play a part in his future, and that one will one day cut across his relationship with Frodo, who will never be the same, having crossed that river to meet his responsibilities. He will leave Boromir, dyng, by that river. And it will be within sight of that river he will become a man of any people, even if in his own folk's reckoning he isn't of age yet. Marvelous working in of the two songs! Author Reply: A very interesting bit of insight, Bonnie, and I agree. Rivers really do play a huge symbolic role and you'll see more of that symbolism, as well as other things as the story continues.
