I love the way you show how Lothiriel now seems more Rohirric than Gondorian.Another great chapter. Author Reply: Hello Linda, she has turned into one of the Rohirrim, hasn't she. Including the hair cut ;-) Lia

Mwahahahahah! Traditional hairstyle of shieldmaidnes indeed! You really do have a talent for sneaking them in there. Poor Nimphelos! I wonder if she even wants to get away, if firefoot is as good a catch as Eomer, I should think not... ;) Happy Thanksgiving! Galimeril ;D Author Reply: Hello Galimeril, I would have thought that Firefoot definitely is as good a catch as Eomer - and perhaps more intelligent than his master as well ;-) Thanks for reviewing and I'm pleased that you liked the 'traditional' hairstyle. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! Lia

Ah! Now stallion and mare are causing the disruption just when the truth of their obviously mutual attraction is about to be aired! Too funny! And love how she shut down Hurin's lady. Go, Lothiriel! Author Reply: Hello Larner, yes, Firefoot has definitely stolen the show there! But to quote my favourite author, Hyarmendacil: The mark of the true warrior is to know when to act and to do so swiftly and decisively. Maybe Eomer should fall back on his warrior qualities... “No,” I replied. “It’s a traditional style for Shieldmaidens in the Mark.” I pulled a strand of my hair forward. “You cut off a finger’s breadth for every orc that you kill.” Hehe. I wouldn't have made it half that long. That lady is a royal nuisance. And of course there has to be something to come in between what might have turned out as some kind of reconciliation. Why am I not surprised that it is a horse? *grins* Mona Author Reply: Hello Mona, well, he is a horselord! Maybe Eomer should consider though, that the 'stupid animal' is more successful in getting what he wants than his master. Perhaps there's a lesson there? And the poor court ladies haven't got a clue what they're up against ;-) Lia

Hi Lia, Thanks for the update. I had to smile at Eomer's "Freudian slip" early in the chapter. It's obvious how Eomer is having a difficult time denying his feelings for her. The mention of the kites and how they helped was a nice surprise--so that's what they were used for! I can't wait to see how Eowyn and Lothy's relationship will heal and what's in store for the young King of Rohan and Lothy. Author Reply: Hello Whitewave, Eomer's heart is still battling with his mind - but he simply needs a push in the right direction. Maybe he'll let himself be inspired by Firefoot! Eowyn I see as being able to hold a grudge much longer, so it might take a while for them to become friends again. But they will eventually! Lia

What a stark contrast between how Lothiriel has lived and how Lord Hurin's entourage is setting up camp now. Lothiriel has a lot of what might be called battle scars, and they've made her stronger. I hope she gets up the courage and gets a chance to tell Eomer what really happened. Author Reply: Hello Daw, yes, I agree that her time in Rohan and learning that she is able to cope on her own have definitely made her stronger. As the ladies of the court just found out! And what she really needs is some private space and time with him without getting constantly interrupted... I'll have a look what I can come up with ;-) Lia
