| Oh yes, Frodo would have liked that place. It's so sad he couldn't stay to see that day. But at least his friends still do think of him. Author Reply: Oh, I agree; and at least Sam is able to bring the memory of this to Frodo to share it with him when it is time. And they do have one another at the time. | |

| I can't imagine how hard it was for the Hobbits when Frodo decided to sail with the Three Keepers. This captures their sense of melancholy very well, but also shows their ability to keep on living life with a sense of joy. Nicely done. Author Reply: For all the joy they have in the life they live, a piece of each one's heart had to have sailed with him, after all. | |

| *Sigh* You know, this is really nice, it is melancholy, but not too much so, and truly heart-warming. Author Reply: Thank you so, Virtuella. And there's nothing wrong with moments of melancholy from time to time, as long as it doesn't become overwhelming. There is joy here, but the fulness of Sam's joy is never quite reached while he must be apart from the brother of his heart. I think. Had it not been for Frodo, it's likely Elanor would not have been born, and Aragorn would not have thought to give the Westmarches to the Hobbits, most likely, had he survived to become King, of course. And this is in sight of the Sea. Part of the hearts of all three of these went there with Frodo, after all. | |
