| Trust Thorongil to come up with the Molotov cocktail (well, not really, but you know what I mean). Nice one--this cumulative prompt thing could turn out to be verrrry interesting. Author Reply: If they intend to burn the Umbari ships in their berths, it seems to me this would be necessary technology to develop. Heh! | You are writing up a storm! I am wasting time, and haven't written a word of fanfic since last week. So good that one of us can be productive, at least... I'm glad I sneaked one more moment online to read this... Thank you for feeding my habit. (I want to read more of this particular setting. Got any on the back burner?) Author Reply: Yes, I must hide from life somehow, I find. Apparently this challenge is additive. Element one was the bottle; today's addition was the wharf. Now I must continue to work those elements and the coming ones into each additional ficlet. Can I keep it up? Dunno! Love to the kids and hubby and Zoe. | |

This is for the Henneth Annun list's annual Advent Calendar challenge, which I've not done previously. As this year's theme call for ficlets each containing the previous elements plus one more daily, I'm trying to keep them to a hundred fifty words. How I'll do that when I have twenty-four elements to work into the final story I DON'T know! I may find myself dropping out eventually, of course. Maybe I'll find one of the ficlets calls to be written out, but then maybe not! Don't know as yet what the future might bring. | |

| Oh, a brilliant plan! Was your prompt "bottle" or "battle plan"? Author Reply: Yesterday it was bottle; today it's bottle and wharf. Apparently this is going to be additive this year! I don't know how much further I'll be able to follow this when it's additive. Interesting concept, to add another element each day! | |
