Ah, I need to read Lesser Ring again...if I don't remain buried alive forever...:) Author Reply: School is that bad, is it? At least Christmas break is on you--I hope! So nice to hear from you again!

I enjoyed seeing a little more of "Lesser Ring" Author Reply: It was fun to revisit it again for me as well, Linda! Thanks.

That's a nice little reminder of 'Lesser Ring' - still the one of your stories I've re-read the most, besides 'The Kings Commission'. Glad to see Aragorn so happy about his success - though I am sure the proud parents were even happier :) Author Reply: I'm honored you like them both, Kitty. And I like revisiting that journey to Harad myself from time to time. Thanks so, Kitty!

Simple looking decisions can have far-reaching effects. Mind you, if I was there I think that I would be worrying about insects that might be crawling through the hole in the tent rather than watching the moon! :) Author Reply: Oh, but it's fun to pretend that the insects will respect this visitor, although he might well be sporting a few mosquito bites the next morning! Heh!

This is quite nice! I could easily envision your Harad here--and you've worked the prompts in very cleverly. Author Reply: Oh, I'm so glad! I love the thought of a proto-Egyptian Harad, myself, obviously! And it at least gave me a place where monkeys could be expected to be found naturally.

What a joyous event! It's so often the small, seemingly-random choices we make in life that make such a difference in so many lives. Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed this so, Shirebound. Yes, it's the apparently random things we do that appear to fulfill us and others best! Thanks so for the feedback!

So far, this has to be my favorite of these little fics, Larner, if only because "Lesser Rings" is perhaps my favorite of all your longer stories to date. *grin* I look forward to seeing how you incorporate all these words and the ones that are to come into the final story. It should indeed be quite a challenge. Author Reply: Oh, I'm so glad, Fiondil. You truly like "Lesser Ring" so well? I am honored. I enjoyed writing it, of course. At least "Stirring Rings" is no longer being quite so stubborn. Now, can I continue to capture all the elements into ficlets of a mere hundred fifty words each? Somehow I think they're going to have to grow longer as time goes on.

I liked all the little stories here so far, but this one was especially well done. All the words fit in so easily, even the monkey, as well as the second meaning of "fork". I'm looking forward to reading more! How long will the word adding continue, I wonder? Until Christmas? It'll be a load of words to place into a story by then! Author Reply: It's going to be through the twenty-fourth, so bear with me as I keep on adding. Heh! And am so glad you felt this was well done. At least here I have an environment where monkeys are part of the actual scene! Heh!

Yikes! Quite the adventure hinted at here. Different use of "fork" too! Hadn't thought of that one. Author Reply: It was fun visiting my version of Harad as presented in "Lesser Ring" again, and doing a bit of a prequil to the story, for when Aragorn first appears in "Lesser Ring" he's leading this camel, you see.... And that use of the word fork has been niggling at me since I first saw it added to the list! Heh! Thanks, Lindelea.
