Very nice solution! I enjoyed reading the story very much. :) And would love to see some more Pippin Sancho stories. I think Sancho might like something like..a knitted bull or so. Or how about a knitted Olipaunt *g* maybe Sancho has heard from those too. Golden Author Reply: Hey, I'm working as fast as I can!!

“Come on!” Pippin tugged harder and Tulip leant him a hoof in the effort. It seemed an uneasy, but enduring friendship was already in the making. Great ending! Who would have thought of such a thief? In fact I hadn't heard of packrats until now. I only knew the Rat Pack ;-) Thank you for this wonderful Tulip story! Author Reply: Thank you Andrea! Packrats are kind of cool and the idea just felt right to me.

Oh, and it wasn't the little lass, either! I'm glad, you know? I was wondering about the provenance of packrats, thinking they were American, too. Am glad you decided to try it anyway! Although Lewis had beavers in Narnia, and they are certainly not native to Britain, either! Love the final decision by Pippin to have Eglantine create a new friend for Sancho, too! Wonderful! Author Reply: Sometimes it's just more fun to use an element from a different place and/or time, and I'm glad I did. I debated over it quite a lot before going ahead. Thanks so much for your comments! We'll have to see what Eglantine figures out for Sancho's toy!!

if Tulip dropped it when she was pig-napped perhaps she was trying to leave us a clue where to come look for her Of course! :) I never dreamed who or what the thief really was. Very clever! Author Reply: Thanks so much Shirebound! I'm very pleased to hear that!!
