| Dear Legolass, here I am again in my favorite Internetcafe in Aswan, the one with the sticky keyboard and the broken chair. I enjoyed your story so much, I'm only sorry I' m so late in reviewing. All those last weeks I've been kept busy preparing and organizing the excavation, and this time I had to do it all by myself. Your story reminds me how fortunate we are to have friends we can rely on, as much as Aragorn could trust Legolas to bring him up that cliff. I guess it was pure strength of will, more than anything else. I am so glad he was able to keep his promise, although it was quite frightening. As always, you managed to make me feel the cold and the danger, despite the heat here. Many thanks for the wonderful story, and a great big furry hug from your rodent! Author Reply: It's always so 'furry' good to hear from you, my furry friend! You know, I can almost picture that Internet cafe with the sticky keyboard and broken chair - I can envision its dusty windows, possibly with a broken pane or two, gritty floor and greasy tables. I'm growing fond of it because it lets me hear from my favourite rodent when she's far away. :-) Organizing the excavation by yourself doesn't sound much fun, so I'm glad Legolas and Aragorn could keep you company if only for a while. We should all be so lucky as Aragorn to have a friend like that elf, sigh.... Thanks so much for dropping me a line and you take care of yourself in Aswan! | I bet both Aragorn and Legolas have both became a member of the "rope of the month" club, because of this little tumble off the cliff. Huh see if all the rope in Arda helps them when Strider rides off the cliff on a warg. Author Reply: Rope probably wouldn't help Strider then, lol. Luckily there were no wargs in this story, just an untimely landslide and a good, strong elf who would not give up. I'll tell him about the rope club, grumpy. Thanks for the tip. :-) Legolass | |

| Oh, a wonderful tale to start the new year! I always like the way you portray both of these characters, you capture them very well. The cold and fear and pain came across very well - nicely done. | That was wonderful, Legolass. I was so happy to see a New Year story from you! I have missed your beautiful Aragorn/Legolas stories and this was just the pick me up I needed before returning to work tomorrow ;D Legolas' stubborn refusal to leave Aragorn to suffer in the cold was my favourite part of the story.If the climb had been twice the distance then Legolas would have attempted it! | Legolass!!!! How wonderful to see a story with your name on it again! I yelped so loudly when I saw it my son thought I had done myself an injury! LOL It is always terrific to read one of your 'offerings' - they are so full of the friendship and loyalty shared by Legolas and Aragorn. This one is no different - Legolas made his friend a promise and he will keep it, by heaven, or die trying. A lovely tribute to both of them!
