I am loving this story White Wolf. These boys *tisk, tisk* So typical of Aragorn to want to investigate and so typical of Legolas to be cautious. And, as usual it seems, Legolas is risking his life to spare Aragorns. This snake gives me the creeps. Please, don't let us hang in suspense too long. Where is Legolas---what has happened to him? Looking forward to an up-date---SOON!! :-) As Always Peace Beverly Author Reply: I'm happy that you are. :o) That seems to be the roles those two have adopted. Too bad Legolas's caution doesn't keep them out of trouble. I think Legolas goes along so he can spare the ranger from total disaster. A giant snake in a dark underground tunnel would give anyone the creeps. By the time you read this, a new chapter will be out, so you won't have much wait time at all.

Sorry. I just realized that I kind of put a spoiler in that last post. Feel free to remove from sight. I hate spoilers. Bad Sulwing. >:( Add-on for "Cold Wind": Poor Aragorn. And Legolas. Add-on for "It": Poor Aragorn. And Legolas. Trouble always follows these two. Or they dig it up themselves! Author Reply: It's sad that 'poor Aragorn and Legolas' can be applied to both stories. Those two just seem to get into trouble time after time. I'd be interested to know how many times it was their fault versus how many times they just got sucked into trouble without doing a thing. :o)

Ai! I took you up on your suggestion, White Wolf, and read "Cold Wind." Oh. My. Goodness. I think I will be emotionally damaged for life. Very. Big. Scar. That was just so creepy, spine-chilling, bone-shuddering, sad, tragic, depressing, and--and--ooh. Suffice it to say that you wrote a very convincing story. But WHY did Arondo have to die? :( Don't really know why I attached this review thing to "It." Whatever. It's a good story too. (Lame pun sadly intended.) You really know how to write them, don't you? Author Reply: I'm glad you read the story, but I'm sorry you were so badly affected. Imagine how I felt writing it. The funny thing is that the last paragraph came to me one night, and it stayed with me until I wrote a storyt hat ended with that paragraph. That's why there was no aftermath written. I hated to kill Arondo, because I really liked him, but I needed to show just how evil Saeargar was and the lengths he would go to to keep Legolas from trying to fight back and gain control. A review is a review wherever you put it. I do try. :o)

Well, well. Cliffhanger! Again! That's okay. I don't mind cliffhangers as long I can read the next chapter in a reasonable amount of time. ;) Besides, think of all the speculation cliffhangers cause. Anyway, about the story. I like it alot, so I finally decided to leave a review. "It" is written very well. Naturally, as this is the WW we are talking about. Anyway good job. I like the beginning of the chapter when it crosses Aragorn's mind that Legolas would be a very dangerous enemy. (Brings back memories of the book when Tolkien insinuates that Aragorn could be a very powerful and bad Dark Lord if he took the Ring.) Uh-oh. I just had a very scary answer as to why Legolas didn't follow Aragorn. The snake hypnotized or otherwise poisoned him so now we can see the elf as a bad guy. Just kidding. I hope. One last thing. I have always liked the idea of Legolas constantly sacrificing himself for Aragorn (somewhat frustrating that hero.) To my mind, Legolas does this for two reasons. One, he knows just how important Estel is to the world. And two, Aragorn is his best friend, and vice versa. Which explains why our ranger gets frustrated with the elf. He would like a chance at sacrificing himself for his friend! For once, please! ;) Okay, I will now be concluding this very long and perhaps slightly random review. Hope it makes you feel :) White Wolf! Keep writing! Author Reply: I feel the same way about cliffies. I really hate them, though, when one is left and the story is abandoned, which has happened to me many times. I'll never abandon a story if I'm in any way able to complete it. And yes, they do tend to bring readers back. :o) I'm glad you like the story and took the time to leave a review for it. Thank you for the complement. It's always nice when anyone sees my name on a story and knows they'll have a good read. I think Aragorn would have reviled even Melkor in his power as a Dark Lord. That would truly have been scary for Middle-earth. As for Legolas, you might try my story "Cold Wind". You will find out what is keeping Legolas in the next chapter. I totally agree with you on the reasons Legolas is always willing to sacrifice for Aragorn. Either reason alone would prompt him to do it, you can be sure. I think Aragorn does sacrifice, but often in more subtle ways. I enjyed your review, and I will definitely keep writing.

Ah--quite the predicamate! Now, to find out what Legolas is doing while Aragorn is getting lost! Author Reply: I'm assuming you meant predicament. And yes, it most certainly is. I'm pretty sure you'll find out what's happening with Legolas in the next chapter.

I like the shift in point of view from inside Aragorn and Legolas's heads to inside the snake's head. Hmmm, I wonder, in a confrontation between this new little pet of yours and Shelob or Ungoliant, who would win? Hmmm. And we wonders, doesn't we, Precious, how that nasty snakesy got down there, we does. Is it a natural creature, or a servant of Morgoth like old Ungoliant was. Ohhh, not enough room down here for that roller-coaster, but always plenty of room for a long rope and a sharp drop! Here is a crown for the Queen of the Cliffhangers! Author Reply: I'm glad you like the pov shift. I thought it would be neat to see how the creature was seeing things. It just might turn out that this creature is a decendent of Ungoliant, though not in spider form. At this point, it's hard to know. Morgoth might well be the connection, especially since he could have built the tower. Oh yes, there is room for that. Crown gratefully accepted. :o)

Bad place to stop! :-) No, I'm joking. your writing is brillinat, but cliff hangers like this make me worry for Aragorn and Legolas. I'm asking myself why I didnt read this eariler. it has such a great plot. It's also a great story, and I hope to read the next chapter soon! Author Reply: It is, isn't it? :o) I'm glad you like my writing. And yes, you should be worried about our elf and ranger. Better late than never. It's good that you are enjoying the story. I appreciate the kind words. I'll update as soon as I can.
