LOL! "Dead things should be buried." Hahaha! Always the wise one! Poor Gaffer! :D

Author Reply: Yes, always the wise one, even when still a little kid.

Thanks, and glad it gave you a laugh. This one was fun to write!

Heeeeee! Poor Gaffer; he just wanted a nap!

Very credible as well as funny.

Author Reply: Oh, I'm so glad you feel that way! I enjoyed writing this one!

Heh. The Discworld certainly seems populated by ... interesting ... characters. I must admit I am not a Discworld fanatic myself, though I _do_ rather enjoy the books myself. Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg are a hoot (have you, btw, read Nanny Oggs cookbook?), but I have a particular fondness for mr. Tall and Anorectic's granddaughter (a governess with such ... interesting ... ways of imparting lessons (especially history lessons...)) :-)

Author Reply: My favorite character is Death. Every time I revisit "Soul Music" I enjoy myself famously!

Yes, I have Nanny Ogg's cookbook--bought it last time I visited England. Am now reading "Making Money."

But Granny Weatherwax and her little card she hold when she's off "borrowing" I just love!

Thanks for the comments!

ROTFLMAO - so solemn and serious that dear trio!

Poor Gaffer!

Author Reply: Yes, this one was fun to write. Little kids can be so danged serious about things--and I agree--poor Gaffer indeed. Once my friend commented that she has to reassure nurses searching for her pulse that she is indeed alive I KNEW which book quote I had to use for this quicky!

Tee hee hee! This was cute!

Author Reply: Now and then it's wonderful to write "cute"! Thanks!

AntaneReviewed Chapter: 24 on 3/24/2009
Cute but scary for them all!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Little kids have such limited understanding of the ways of the great truths of life, and particularly death; and they can react to new situations in such delightful ways! Heh!

Thank you so, Antane.

LOL!!!

A very practical approach!
Frodo doesn't know yet what death means. Unfortunately he will find it out far too soon.

Granny Weatherwax is great! I like her very much (and Rincewind).

Author Reply: Yes, practical indeed--if a bit premature. And unfortunatly in just five more years he will appreciate all too well what death does mean.

I LOVE the Diskworld stories, obviously. Am so glad to have taken a bit of inspiration from the Head Witch of Lancre!

(My favorite character, however, has to be Death!)

Oh, the innocence of youth!
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: I love the children here myself! Heh!

Thanks, Lynda.

Oh, what a gem! This is so funny... I can see kids of any race doing such a thing. Puts me in mind of something Mark Twain-ish, somehow. Very funny!

Author Reply: Yes, it does have a decidedly Clemens sort of feel to it, now you mention it!

Thanks so, Cairistiona. This one was fun to write.

*LOL* Oh, of course Frodo was right. But maybe they should have first checked if the Gaffer was *truly* dead!

Author Reply: Yes, they were a BIT premature, weren't they? Heh!

Thanks so, Kitty.
