What a delightfully amusing story! Poor Aragorn didn't even know he'd taken Frodo's helping! Author Reply: No, he didn't. And now he is learning the error of his way! Heh! Thanks so, Linda!

Naughty Frodo! Aragorn did not know the mushrooms were spoken for.Just as well the Hobbits did not cripple their guide! A delightful story. Author Reply: Now and then Frodo deserves to be naughty! Heh! Glad it gave you a giggle!

Vengence is mine saith Frodo! *grin*. Poor Strider but, then, he could have asked before helping himself. Author Reply: Oh, indeed, Harrowcat. Yes, poor Strider, but you're right--he OUGHT to have asked!

Whoa! Do not get between Frodo and the mushrooms that are his. I can relate to that. My chocolate is mine, and nobody better even think of eating it. I have been known to share with hamdsome rangers! Author Reply: Oh, I'm with you regarding chocolate, Grumpy! I regularly give up chocolate for Lent, and am counting down the hours until Easter comes at the moment! Heh! And if a certain scruffy Ranger came my way, I think I, too, would be generous. However, Frodo isn't as amenable to masculine charms as I am....

Really, I felt sorry for Aragorn. The poor guy couldn’t know that the rest in the pot was meant for Frodo, after all. And he got a pretty good impression how Frodo earned the name ‚rascal of Buckland’! Frodo really took his revenge for missing a few mushrooms *grin* Author Reply: Oh, I suspect that, being Frodo, he did indeed earn that title. Now Aragorn KNOWS what this Hobbit is capable of! Glad you enjoyed it!

My sympathies are entirely with Strider. After all the poor man really had no idea of his crime. I love tales of the journey from Bree to Weathertop when the hobbits are getting to know the ranger and this was a rare treat. Author Reply: This is the third story I've written of that time (not counting my one AU tale). It's fun to write something light and fun, and that shows Frodo at his most determined and devious. Strider didn't realize for whom the mushrooms were being saved, but I think he did know there was a reason they remained in the pan. But who could resist Sam's mushrooms, eh? Heh! Thank you so much, Inzilbeth!

Muahahahaha! I'm still glad to see Frodo has his mischievous streak even at this age and with this many worries weighing down on him. Never come between a hobbit and his mushrooms... Author Reply: Oh, yes, I like to think that even out here in the wilds he can think of ways to get back at whoever manages to really tick him off! Thank you for the feedback--am glad I gave you some chuckles!

Ah yes! Never come between a Hobbit his dinner, especially if it contains mushrooms! Rather petty of Frodo if you ask me, Strider wasn't to know the mushrooms were being saved for him! He is one sneaky Hobbit though! More please, Lynda Author Reply: Well, although Frodo doesn't know it as yet, Strider does know Bilbo well, and ought to know just what mushrooms mean to a Hobbit; and he knows those mushrooms were NOT put on his plate. Petty, yes, but as you noted very devious! Heh! Glad you enjoyed it!

Ah, the Terror of Buckland strikes again! LOL! I love the way everything he did was so subtle--one or two could have been an accident. Two or three a coincidence--but all of them? *giggle* Poor Strider! Author Reply: It was such fun thinking of all the ways Frodo might have found to let his annoyance be known. And this is one offense I think he would retaliate about! Heh! Thanks so!
