| I realise that this review is (many!) years late, but I come back to this story so often that I had to leave a review. Your stories are some of my very favourites, and your Celebrimbor is my favourite, as well - he's my favourite character! I love how sympathetic you make him, and so likeable. It is a shame that you seem to have finished writing, but thank you for writing stories that I've enjoyed for so many years. | |

| I never tire of your delicate,detailed style. Actions, emotions, deep thoughts, atmosphere are allconvenyed in such amount of telling detail thatinstead of overwhelmingitis always thought provoking. I can always feel myself again inside the sophisticated atmosphere of that palace and its elegant, cunning, inteligent dwellers of many races. The backstory is always rippling at the surface, most intriguingly! And Rhiss´is a new,refreshing pov. And Glamien a welcome acquaintance for the boy. Their accent was lovely, and also how they exhchanged news about what they both missed! I had tolaugh at the pancakes particularly, for it is so. TO each and every exile, the food of his home is the very and only true food! There are few things that can make you feel aborad deeper than food. And of course I had to love this line: "‘Tis a reward of service to see far away places and meet all manner of folk" Rhiss' youth and adventurousness, and his great heart full of hopes are a delight. I was lookingforward to seeing him intrude into whatever comedy are Elrovail and Hrassa playing, but a peek inot Celebrimbor's workshoppartocularly when strange sounds are coming out form it looks promising enough.I cannot tell you how I enjoy each chapter of this wonderfully rich tapestry. ANd also how youweave the silvan culture so effortlesslyinto the apparentl tightereldarin court. THe mix is one I would not mind have known. Author Reply: ... now, I feel overwhelmed. I'm truly glad you enjoy the story. I am especially glad you liked the page and the nanny interacting. Huzzah! That was the whole point about getting a taste of..eh...from home. You know the rewards of service better than most. :) Well, ya know, things go the way they go, and Celebrimbor's apartment may not be it. Luckily for Rhiss. I think Eregion and Ost-in-Edhil was the place where the two most diverse cultures would have gotten their first broad look at each other. A lone Silvan in Gil-Galad's court or a Noldor in the Greenwood would certainly be intresting, but not change either's world. A returning native filled with new ideas and experiences can. All courtesy of their Sindarin (read Galadrim) mutual friends hosting the grand event. After getting the Exiles and Dwarves to foot the bill, of course. Thank you so much for the review! | Hello Redheredh! I was so happy to see all this Rhiss… it’s almost overwhelming. “Her face glowed with fading starlight” oooh, that I like. “Unnecessarily mean” almost makes her sound nice. :D A mortal woman? Interesting. So potentially she could be serving a little Celebrian till she’s grey. Kinda weird. But I’d like to learn more about her. I liked the nanny more and more with each sentence. Almost impervious to the Princess’ charms, able to scold her, even. Why, she even got her to apologize. Heh, Rhiss is not the only one who is disorientated by Celebrian’s moods. I enjoyed Glamien and Rhiss’ woodland accents. And of course I was fascinated by the tree blight – definitely devastating for woodelves. Somehow I never thought of their forests having those kinds of problems. What a terribly long book that would make: History of Tree Blights in Arda from the Waking to the Present. On a light note, the danger of the woolen rugs was hilarious. Runnybread and mallorn syrup!!! Ah, now I’m drooling on the keyboard. *mops* Fun chapter; as always, worth the wait! ;) Author Reply: Hey Kitt Otter! Oh dear, too much for you too? And next chapter we're still with him. Maybe I should switch the chapters around... *g* I like that too. Wait, is that sarcasm I hear? :) Actually, I think people with authority think it necessary to be firm and not be swayed by sentiment when it comes to making people do as they think those people should do. A young child would call that being mean, although also understand why that is so. Goodness, do I remember rightly that you have kids? So, you know what I am talking about here. Since elven children grow between 25 to 30 percent slower than human children, that may be so. Although, the Professor did say that they are walking and out of diapers in less than a year. I chalk that up to grow spurts, though. Hmm, we do outlive the majority of our household pets. Each of whom we care for and treat as one of the family, I would hope. Glamien had been at her job for a long time before Celeborn hired her. Yes, he chose her, not Galadriel. :) Darn, does the little princess appear to have ADS? Personally, I think she is experimenting with her fledgling powers and has become overly confident. I thought of a blight because elves tend not to get sick themselves. An enemy of any foresight/patience might experiment with a different angle of attack in order to kill many with the least effort. Also, in UT, Galadriel tells Celebrimbor that she would like something, which is the Elessar he makes, to help her preserve the forests. As well, I liked the idea that the Silvan learned some things from this that helped them survive the creeping malaise that spread over the Greenwood and turned it into the Mirkwood. The crackle of static has betrayed the presence of many a sneak to others. I could have gone on about hair standing on end... LOL! Here's a clean napkin. Now, please pass the butter. | Yay! A NEW chapter! *dances around for joy* I liked Rhiss' observations, though I felt that the story is starting to move a bit too slowly - I really want to get to Celeborn's ballroom dance, let alone Hrassa and Celebrian's tea party! Still, Rhiss is very very cute! I loved the detail about static electricity and carpet. Some typing mistakes as well - which some sentences didn't make sense, unfortunately. Keep updating pretty please! Author Reply: *g* I understand you wishes, but it will be a bit more before more in the great hall. Cute! *chuckle* I really think he would protest being called cute.
