Here I am again! :D I can only begin to imagine how Aragorn must have felt when he finally got reunited with Arwen and knew that she would be his forever from then on. After all the sacrifices both of them had to make they really deserve all the joy and happiness they can get. I loved how you described the White Tree in this chapter! It seemed to be very fitting that they spent their first night together next to the White Tree. :) Author Reply: Hello! Good to see you again! Oh this is such a wonderful moment for them both and I'm so glad you felt this was an appropriate setting for them to finally be together. It just seemed right to me too. Thgank you so much for your review.

Very, very beautiful! The White Tree is one of my favorite characters too, if it can be called so =). But back to Aragorn: after this chapter I could sigh contentedly, and say: “Finally!” Author Reply: I can't tell you what a joy is was to finally write the 'finally'! Thank you so much, I'm thrilled you liked this chapter.

It's another romance chapter aaaaaggggggghhh... *coughs and snaps out of very, very pleasant reverie* Very glad Faramir showed up here; he seems like a very pleasant fellow as he ought to be. Aragorn's calm response compared to his surging emotions was almost funny. As for the romantic bit itself--you did an excellent job of showing just enough and then letting the couple have their privacy. I especially appreciated their referencing Beren and Luthien before eros fully took over. Author Reply: LOL! Yes, definitely the right point to draw the curtains! I'm glad you liked the mention of Beren and Luthien there. It did feel appropriate at that moment. And Faramir had to get a look in somewhere! Thanks for your review, Celeritas.

Wow, Nice! Right next to the White Tree! Very appropriate! Hope the guards know enough to give their king and new queen some privacy! The word inhibited is not in their dictionary! It's been a long time coming for these two...no one in Arda would have stopped them! I can't seem to wipe this big smile off my face! Well done! Author Reply: I'm so glad you can't wipe the smile off your face - I couldn't when I was writing it! Yes, it's been a very long time coming and there must be some perks to being the king! Thanks so much for your review, RS. I really appreciate it.

What a most wonderful and moving chapter. I just loved to see Aragorn happy, and successful. As usual, you managed to show us very clearly that mixture of anxiety, expectation and happiness he must have felt during his first days of kingship. I'm sure that he felt hopeful for the future and certain of his success, but I'm also sure he must have been a bit worried by the enourmous and difficult task facing him. And you showed that very clearly, as you also showed his pleasurable expectation of Arwen's arrival. The second part is just marvelous. You did a great job of portraying Aragorn and Arwen's joy. And I loved the ending. You have the knack of painting with very vivid colours and a very delicate hand physical longing and physical love. It was a beautiful scene, in which we could feel their love for each other, and their bliss in each other. It was a stroke of genius to make it happen under the White Tree. The White Tree always meant so much and symbolized so much hope for Aragorn and his line that it was just perfect that Aragorn and Arwen had their first night of love under its protective and welcoming branches. Well done indeed. Author Reply: Thank you so much, Estelcontar. It was wonderful to finally get to this scene, so long has it been in coming! His new role must have felt very strange to Aragorn at first but of course everything would have fallen into place with the arrival of his queen. And I'm so glad you enjoyed that last part. It just felt right to me too!

Yea--let them rejoice in one another, and find fulfillment indeed! The joys are balanced with griefs, and the griefs with joy. So it ever is. Author Reply: Yes, isn't that just so. Thank you, Larner.

I'm pleased you included a scene for Aragorn and Faramir and it is always lovely to see Aragorn win his lady at last. Author Reply: I hoped you would enjoy seeing Faramir. Thanks, Linda.

A lovely correspondence between the power of the young White Tree and the rise of Aragorn and Arwen's long-deferred physical love. And a Faramir cameo, too! Nicely and romantically written. Author Reply: Thank you so much, Raksha, it's a pleasing parallel, isn't it? And Faramir had to get a look-in in this story somewhere.

He still marvelled that this was an actual, real ‘White Tree’, a living scion of Galathilion, itself an image of Telperion, a line that had survived from the depths of Ages past. In Minas Tirith, the emblem of the White Tree was to be seen everywhere; on every heraldic device; on every suit of armour; above every doorway in the citadel, as well as above his own throne, but no one in the city had ever seen an actual, living White Tree before. Isn't that wonderful? What a glorious and inspiring event to describe. I feel as if we've all been waiting for this lovely chapter, not just Aragorn and Arwen. Beautiful. Author Reply: Thank you so much, Shirebound. This was one of my favourite chapters to write. As you say, not just for Aragorn and Arwen, but for the pleasure of sharing that feeling of hope that Aragorn must have had and the wonder of the White Tree was a large part of expressing that.
