| This gave me several big laughs. “Is that all?” Amarlicus asked. --- Hah! That’s an orc cat if I ever saw one,” Sam had said. --- Hah, again! "They don’t like having their tales pulled." --- I don't know if the spelling of "tales" was deliberate or accidental, but either way it's perfect because you are certainly pulling our tail with this tale! And, finally, Pippin and the others as interior designers. *guffaws* OMG, I hope the rooms don't end up too matchy-matchy! ;o) Author Reply: Poor chaps! They really need a female's guidance here. They really have no idea how involved redecorating can be. And Aragorn will be running all these plans by Mistress Porcia before giving the final ok to make sure it's not to matchy-matchy as you say! hehehe That poor cat! So misunderstood! Oops! Typo! Thanks for pointing that out, and I don't know what you mean. I'm not pulling anyone's tails! ;) Pippin did grow up with three older sisters. He couldn't help picking up a thing or two. ;) | |

| See? Sometimes it is an advantage to have older sisters! I have a little brother, too ;-) Shahzad nodded. “It is a great tale. Would you like to hear it?” Me, too! Maybe it really was Hildifons. That would be very interesting. Finally, I agree with Larner that Aragorn's last statement was rather accusatory. But it might be part of a strategy. We'll find out soon... Author Reply: Pippin learned a lot more from his sisters than he'll ever admit to them! Though Merry and Frodo will be certain that they learn about this little adventure. ;) Sam's sisters don't seem to have done as good a job, but Sam was often with his father, so he has an excuse. No matter who the hobbit is in Shahzad's tale, our hobbits will be very eager to hear it. Hildifons isn't the only hobbit to go off to the Blue and not return. In fact, Isengar and Bilbo seem to be the exceptions. Aragorn does have something up his sleeves. A surprise attack is always the best strategy, so long as it doesn't come back to bite him! | |

| Aragorn should make so impolitic a statement--almost an outright accusation? Hmm! The curtains sound lovely--wish I could be there to see! And perhaps word at last of Hildifons? Hooray! Author Reply: Aragorn is speaking rather boldly, but trust that he has a reason for it. The curtains were inspired by my own - though completely different colors. I'm so horrible at decorating and trying to dream these things up. Thank goodness for HGTV! :D Shahzad has word of someone, that is certain. The hobbits will be very eager to learn it! | |

| I'm sure the hobbits would *love* to hear that story of one of the ancestors in the South, and it sounds as if Gandalf would, too! Author Reply: The hobbits will be certain to get that story before they or the Haradrim have to leave, and you can bet Gandalf will find some way to be there! | |

| Heh heh heh! Not only Pippin the taste-tester, but Pippin the designer! I love the way he jumped right into it! LOL! Perhaps if he gets tired of being a Knight of Gondor, he can apply for a job on HGTV! I'm sure he would be a big hit! LOL! And the meeting with the Haradrim was interesting as well. Not Isengar, then? Well, well, well! I will be very curious to hear the tale of that hobbit visitor to the East! And I loved Aragorn's trick question at the end--the translators were pretty slert though! Not prisoners? Hmm... You are so devious! I don't even try to guess with your stories anymore! I'm loving this and looking forward to more! Author Reply: Pippin's sisters would be so proud! And Pervinca would just love to have this to hold over his head! LOL! Sam's sisters don't seem to have made quite the same impression, but then he was often with his father from a very early age. Perhaps Paladin should have allowed Pippin to help with the farming more often. :P Not Isengar, but we know he wasn't the only hobbit to have left the Shire for the wilds. Aragorn is playing with fire here though; he'll need to be extra careful not to get burnt! To be honest, I didn't have much of a clue what was going to happen either when I first started writing this. The hobbits were most persistant in keeping me in the dark. I've got most of it figured out now though. I just need to find the time to write it. Thanks DF! More will be coming! | |
