This was very good! I've always wondered about Aragorn's first trip through Moria -- and I appreciate how competent he was here in his own right, not just in following the twins. Very enjoyable story, thanks for writing!

A very gripping, intense story. Despite many re-readings of LotR, the dangers and darkness of Moria never came over to me so intensely as in your story, which is also a wonderful tale about Estel's growing up and earning his spurs, so-to-say. And finally a female dwarf! WITH beard! *lol* The dwarves and the inter-species interaction was a particular joy to read. Thank you for this entertaining and enthralling story.

There are few who can claim two names. And he'll soon have more… I love their talk-- it's touching, humorous, and serious at the same time. Well written! “More to the point, who is Lúthien?” Aragorn asked lightly. He stood and stretched, glancing at the long shadows that lay outside. “I am going for a walk before supper – it is a beautiful evening. I will see you later.” And so it begins. Wonderful story!

A very nice ending... Estel finds out that he is Aragorn, and about his heritage. And Elrohir finds out about being drugged, by his little brother... Very funny.... Nice job...

Oh, lovely, Jay, just lovely! I so enjoyed Elladan's transformation from big brother to Elf-lord, but best by far was the scene at Imladris. Well done!

Good to see them safe and sound back at home in Imladris! Though you managed to give the end an interesting twist. Poor Elrohir, it seems Estel’s unorthodox method of keeping him quiet gave him quite a nightmare! And the end was a great foreshadowing of what Aragorn will find outside on his walk - *his* Lúthien! I will miss this story, even if these long cliffhangers nearly killed me ;) It was a great ride! Author Reply: It's odd, but long before the end of the story was in sight, I'd planned that scene with Estel admitting what he'd had to do, and Elrohir's reaction to it. Knowing it was Estel will at least cure Elrohir's nightmares. Ah, the foreshadowing - sometimes it's best to leave things unsaid and fade to black :) And I'm sorry for the long gaps between updates (mostly with cliffhangers) - I can't believe the story has taken just over three years to write!

Ah, but that last question is about to be answered! But it worked, he saved his brothers and has earned recognition as a man among both Men and Elves. Clever, resourceful, indefagitable, and living up to his Elven name! A marvelous tale, Jay. Thanks so much for it! Author Reply: Thanks, Larner! I wanted to show how Estel grew to become the Aragorn in the books - and I always felt it started during his 'great deeds'. The twins are very proud of their little brother.

What a wonderful ending. It was funny as the truth was revealed to Elrohir. Aragorn is about to find the answer to the question "Who is Luthien?", but when will he find out who is his Huan? I always enjoyed looking for updates on this story, I will miss it. Author Reply: LOL! I'm not sure about Huan, but Elrohir's prophetic words seemed the right way to end the tale and set up the meeting with Arwen. Now, what to write next??

A momentous ending, trembling with the future, but earned by the past. Great story, Jay. I'm sorry it's done. Author Reply: Thanks, Daw. I didn't think there was much point in going past this point and writing about the meeting with Arwen - it's been done before, and by a far better author! But now I need to decide which story to start next - I have several ideas :>)

Very nice ending indeed. I have decided not to leave this tale behind - I'm going to print it out and read it 'whole' and just relish the joy, horror, love and friendship contained within. Very very nice job! Author Reply: Thanks Agape! I hope you enjoy reading this over again, and that it's as good the second time around :)
