Beautifully and well written. I love the gentleness of the two gifts given in the wild, and the memory of terror Fredegar experiences.

ONce again, impecibly done details. from beginning to end, If i ever get have as good as you at adding those lovely details I'll be happy. as to the first part of the story, how perfectly horrible. the innocent children learning such dark things. Will the hobbits ever recover fully do you think? I like to think so, no more dark stories and dark pranks for better times. second part, so sweet and touching. that bit about pip tracing the initials .. another of those fantastic details. These gifts represnt a truer meaning of yule/christmas. a lesson to be learned. at the rate i'm going, i'll never finish this story!! egad.

This almost made me cry. Well, maybe a little anyway. I can't wait for new chapters.

A very good chapter. Very true to life how children often joke about things and don't realize how serious and frightening they can be to the adults. I also very much like Merry and Pippin's little Yule celebration, so touching and sweet.
