Ah--now who's spying on whom? Am getting confused myself! And the poor hairless cat--accused of being a spy for the Enemy? Love the comments on the pillow and the probable reacion to the sands of Mordor! Heh! Love it! Author Reply: Frodo's suspicions are revealed to be well-placed. Aragorn has in fact been having his rangers and guards keeping watch over the hobbits. The cat can hold its own. He is, after all, rather unconcerned about the opinions of lowly humans, much less spy for them! :P The sands of Mordor may just be a cat's version of heaven - the world's largest litter box. LOL! ;)

Poor Kitteh, I think it is being misjudged. Looks like the more the hobbits learn, the more questions arise. With all of this to think on, I wonder how they will have time to finish their war of pranks. I think there may be trouble coming and not the sort that comes from hobbit conspiritors. Author Reply: This kitty certainly is. Can't say about the other kitties of its kind, raised by the Black Numenoreans. The myths may well apply to them. ;) Oh, don't worry about the prank war. It's well under way and will not be derailed. This is Frodo we're talking about. When he's determined to do something, there's nothing that can stop him! heh! ;)

“He grew up here and never knew the Eye. He likes warm milk and laying in the sun and having his chin scratched. He’s far too lazy to be a spy. I don’t think he could even make it to the city gate without stopping a few hundred times for a cat nap, and dragging that beaded pillow about will only make it more cumbersome. It would take him forever to get to Mordor." That's utterly adorable. I love your hobbits. :) Author Reply: Hobbit practicality really beats all. Cats really wouldn't make very good spies at all. :)

Really, it was only a matter of time! If the Queen speaks Westron fluently she too may have already figured out the Ringbearer's identity. I love Pippin's reaction to the cat, after hearing Razeena's story-- although I also loved the description of the cat's laziness! And you know, it is interesting to compare the cats of Queen Beruthiel to wraiths and spies of the enemy. And I really am eager to hear the story of the Hobbit who went south... Author Reply: It was just a matter of time. Less time than even Aragorn might have suspected. ;) I hope the Queen hasn't found her time in Gondor to be *too* educational! Sometimes, you overhear things you'd really rather not know. ;) Pippin has a fondness for that cat, as you may imagine. He's been looking for that little kittie for years, and he's not about to let someone think ill of him - even as he begins to believe the myth a teensy bit. That cat has been pampered its whole life - little need for it to spy to earn its living! :P That's coming up next, at last. :)
