| This may seem an odd review... it is to say that I haven't read the story. But this is because my own series has reached The West - the immigrants are trying to settle, and one of their points of reference is Celebrķan - so I keep watching this growing, and promising myself that I will read it... later! It is a carrot I dangle in front of myself, so to speak. Author Reply: Oh, believe me, I know all too well what it's like. That's why I don't dare to get close to Larner's "Stirring Rings", although I lover her writing very much. But there's also the danger of being influenced, and that's better to avoid, if one can. Now I'll have to read *your* story, as soon as this monstrosity is finished. You've made me very curious indeed - no pun intended. :) | |

| Interesting warnings here. Have read parts of Lost Tales, but haven't found them as interesting as the final accepted canon stories, I'm sorry to say. Author Reply: Hey, that's okay! We're all different people. Personally, I'm bored to death by the Silmarillion, while love all the older stuff. A good thing the Professor didn't make up his mind in a lot of things - that way we all can find something we really like. ;) | |
