I love it! What a sweet story about these two - I hadn't thought of that before, what they could have in common and I love the assurance Aragorn gives Sam and how he wants to know when the big day is so he can send his own congratulations. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Thanks! I love making connections between characters whom readers don't always connect.

Oh--what a connection to find between the two of them! Yes! Wonderfully told, Celeritas. Author Reply: Thank you!

What a lovely dialogue between two members of the Fellowship we do not usually hear dialogue from! I like how Sam was thinking how Strider looks different now with the marriage of Arwen and i like how Strider says that the duties have changed but not lessened. And i like how Strider hinted that Sam would one day also have a happy day and that he'll be there for him. Lovely job in thinking about this scenario to write! =) Author Reply: I always love getting characters who normally don't interact in fanfic to talk to one another. I'm glad you enjoyed this; thanks for the review!

Lovely conversation between Sam and the new King. I enjoyed Sam's reflections on the changes in Strider, and how Sam still thinks of him as Strider and not King Elessar. Sam has always been my favorite of the Hobbits, and of course, Aragorn is my favorite character over all, so it was nice seeing a bit of interaction between them. Linda received a lovely gift in this! Author Reply: Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing about it (and I really cannot think of any of the hobbits as thinking in private about the King as anyone but "Strider". This probably came from a 4th-Age fic I came across a while back in which hobbits generally referred to him as "Good King Strider", which was so incredibly hobbity that the idea rather stuck, though I've never outright stolen it!). I am glad this pleased.

What a beautiful conversation. Yes, good old Strider may be a King now, but he is as perceptive as ever, and he reads his small friend very well. It's so nice for Sam to realize he has so much in common with Aragorn. And it may help for him to realize he won't have to wait forty years for Rose. Author Reply: Nope, just another year and a good amount of tongue-lashing for up and running off to do worldsavingly things. ^_^ I like finding commonalities. *grin*

This was just lovely.Thank you so much. Aragorn and Sam have more in common than they realise! Author Reply: You're quite welcome! I think Aragorn's happiness over getting the girl would help Sam feel better about his extended absence from home.
