| A good reception by the King, at least. And Erestor has managed a fair amount of grace in imparting this dread news. Author Reply: Yes... at least Fingon understood the young ellon's predicament and received it as it was with grace. One of the traits of a good ruler, don't you think? :) Erestor did his best, but here his inexperience, youth, and a sundry other aspects won over his effort. Things will look up... a bit... in the next chapter, though. I will post it once my beta-reader returns it to me. Hopefully you will also like it. | Great, GREAT second chapter! Your description for Fingon was perfect and I loved it, especially how he reacts to Erestor. :) The only disappointment is that I can't read more! ;-) I am looking forward to more chapters from you, and soon. . .(hint, hint. I have sent the third chapter to my beta-reader to be fixed two days ago, but the returned one is not in my E-mail inbox yet. Well, then again, beta readers are not exempt from the evil that is procrastination. :) I experience it too while betaing other's work. LOL I'm glad you are excited about this story, though. (Me too!) I am always afraid that one day a reader will find that Fingon's sharp change in mood makes the scene look disjointed... After all, it is my own opinion of it. Always, when someone commented about that scene, I was both curious and glad that the statement was not there. Weird, no? *shrug* Dunno... Mmm. Before I go into a more confusing rant about self pity... Thanks for reviewing. I will post the third chapter (called "Substitution" ;)) as soon as m y beta has returned the chapter to me and I have re-editted it. I beg for your patience... :) - Rey | |
