| I love how with such a small drabble, you've still managed to paint a very immense cavern. Elladan looking at the distant torches really brings that point home. Also loved that he was more concerned with the smoke from his own torch than with the Dead following. Few would be so calm. Author Reply: The cavern and the passages must have been vast - but in the darkness it would be impossible to see that. The torches were a way of showing that distance. I don't know about calm - Elladan just didn't like the smoke in his eyes! | |
