It's always nice to have someone cook for you! Or to cook with someone, for that matter. =) My own grandmother was one of the best cooks I ever knew - I miss her. I think she'd approve of Adamanta! Kaylee Author Reply: It is indeed! I love to cook myself, and I enjoy cooking for and with others. So it's not surprising Adamanta shares that trait.

Mmm, yummy recipe. Must try when I've mushrooms in the house next time. But again, how could it be anything but delicious? It comes from a Took, after all. Author Reply: It really is quite yummy and rich! Delicious! I need to make it again sometime soon...

Adamanta certainly knows how to make a Hobbit happy - cooking mushroom stew! Frodo's comment "You certainly cook like a hobbit." is certainly the biggest compliment he can make ;) Now Frodo's last question is one I'd love to know the answer to, too! I have to admit I am quite curious about the answer. Author Reply: Sorry to be so late in replying! Adamanta is beginning to answer their questions...

What a delicoious chapter! The spinach and pear salad sounds particularly nice! :D Author Reply: Yes, just as I described: baby spinach, thin slices of pear, some dried cranberries or other dried berries, a few chopped nuts (I use pecans, but walnuts or other nuts would work). Dress with a little oil and vinegar... *grin* Glad you liked!

Now *that* is an excellent question and one I am very eager to have answered. Someone must have had suspicions at least, or where did the rumors come from? Sounds like a delicious meal, too! Author Reply: Yes, indeed. We are finally beginning to come to the heart of the story... (And I got quite hungry writing about this chapter...)

I love that she made them mushroom stew - home cooking indeed! :) *hugs her* I think she knows Frodo very well. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Well, perhaps she is able to surmise some things about him, from her knowledge of his ancestor... She definitely knows him rather better than he would expect.

Frodo gave a smile of dreamy contentment. "I don't think I've had mushroom stew like that since I was a small child. My mother used to make it like that." That was a success! But it was only the first step. I think Adamanta has still a good deal of speaking to do. And I'm curious to know how she'll accomplish that. Author Reply: We are going to begin to get to the heart of the matter soon, alas, 300 words at a time!
