| All was quiet save for the ticking of the clock on the mantel of the room’s fireplace. Pippin chewed on the inside of his cheek, pondering. Had the clock been ticking on his earlier excursion? Something is happening in the old part of the Great Smials. And it's not only Pippin on his treasure hunt. I'm curious to know what will happen next. | Older siblings being infuriating appears to be natural to them. At least Pippin's found ways to pay them back, but it sounds as if Gerontius wasn't always so fortunate when a lad. Lovely details here, and I can't wait to see where this map leads. Author Reply: Isn't that the truth? I know exactly how they both feel, as I am a youngest too.
