I never realized how much Boromir and Faramir completed each other until I read this chapter. The view from the hilltop sounds amazing. It's a good place for one to regroup and gather their thoughts. I just know I'm going to love reading this story.

A beautiful view of all they hold dear, and a necessary conversation between the two of them.

I really like the atmosphere in the chapter: the bond between brothers is so special. And later, you switch to darker tones very smoothly. I am really curious about what Denethor saw in the palantir. :) P.s. Just a small comment related to physics (now this is an astronomer speaking, not the LotR fan any more :) ). Yes, I know that Tolkien mentioned something about seeing the sea from Mindoluin. But I think this is not possible. I have to check in some books - there is the formula for calculating the visible horizon depending on the position of the observer (the heigth above sea level). If you are curious and want to know more about it, I can send you an e-mail with more details. ;) Author Reply: I would love to know more about that kind of formula! I think I might have seen something like that online, in my attempts to discover if it really was possible to see such a distance. I do like to have things be true-to-life if possible, so I am interested in anything you can share with me on that score. Do you need my email or is there a way to send mail via this website? Thanks for reading and reviewing!
