A very fitting choice as Boromir is Denethor's sun and son! Author Reply: Am so glad you feel this way, too, Linda. Again, thank you so!

It's a good comparison of teh brothers - Faramir, calm, soothing; and Boromir hot and passionate. Yes, it fits very well. Author Reply: Indeed, Virtuella. Each of the brothers had his own strengths. I only rejoice that each saw the strengths of the other. Thanks so!

Oh, a young Boromir in his prime! Is it a wonder that the sight mellowed even Denethor's heart? I often wonder what might have happened had Boromir not died. Aragorn would have had a tough time to be accepted, I guess. Which might be the reason why poor Boromir had to die in the first place. It's really unfair. What, me, biased? How has *that* thought occurred to you? ;) Author Reply: Heh! Certainly YOU wouldn't be biased, Soledad! Heh! And I so suspect you are right regarding the obstructions Aragorn would have faced. Thanks so much!

Very poetic, coming from Denethor! It is easy to see how much he adores his oldest son and how proud he is of him. Author Reply: There was probably never a time when Denethor didn't expect miracles from Boromir, I'd think. And we do know that Denethor was intellectually supposed to be the equivalent of Aragorn. Thanks so, Kitty.

Dry, acerbic Denethor is gushing out the poesy, isn't he?! A true measure of his intense love for his older son; and rather sad, because we know what will happen to that golden boy. Author Reply: Yes, we have the benefit of twenty/twenty hindsight, so can too easily see to what Boromir's promise came. But for Denethor--his son was such a man of action! How could he not have expected miracles?

I was wondering who you would choose for the Sun! It really crushed Denethor when Boromir died. Author Reply: Who else, having put Faramir for the Moon. Am so glad you agree with me!

Oh, this is definitely one I can see. Denethor's delight in Boromir and his preference for his older son certainly comes through here! Author Reply: I'm so glad I was able to communicate that so well, Dreamflower. Thanks so much!

Aww, my favourite Gondorian is in this chapter! :) It is a beautiful description, I can easily imagine Boromir in this wonderful moment. :) Author Reply: I loved writing a positive story with Boromir in it.
