Ah! Most satisfying! Now that carol has inspired two such stories, one from you and one from Dreamflower. Joy to you ever, and thanks for the gift!

Awww...this is lovely! It is definitely the kind of compassionate thing Gandalf might do-- and Pippin is just the right little hobbit to help him! *grin* This story really is adaptable, isn't it?

Omgosh...you should have warned us Readers that we'd need tissue after reading this chapter. This was a very beautiful, sweet, warm story. Most excellently well done!

That was a nice little story. I enjoyed it a great deal! And like GW I especially liked this line: "If you are referring to the incident with the mince pies and the cream," Pippin folded his arms indignantly, "I was barely involved and…" Thank you very much :-)

First of all, I love the song. If this keeps up, you will have to write a songbook for the Shire. (I hope it keeps up by the way.) Love this little nod to a line spoken by Gandalf: ("If you are referring to the incident with the mince pies and the cream," Pippin folded his arms indignantly, "I was barely involved and…") I love the care Gandalf takes in helping Pippin make it to the hut and Pippin assuming that Gandalf has done magic when he warms his feet. So much to love and only one chapter in! Off to read more.
