Excellent--they found him in good time--and the betrothal is officially ON! Author Reply: Yes, it is, lol, and more of that in another story...at some point in the future. ;-) Thanks for stopping by, Larner! :-)

Pippinfan! How wonderful to see you back!! *Hugs* I enjoyed your story and I hope you'll have more for us soon. Author Reply: Cathleen! It's wonderful to see you, too! Thank you for stopping by to read -- and I am working on something right now, but it won't be ready for a long while. Later this year, perhaps.

Hooray! And brothers do tend to be protective of their sister! Heh! Bless all of them! Author Reply: Yes, bless them! :-) I couldn't agree more -- in my world of hobbits, although siblings do squabble amongst themselves, it is a lad's duty to protect his sister's or mother's honor. It was good to see you, Larner! Thanks for reading!

Ah now, as usual Merry has got it right! Never propose in public, otherwise you're not really giving your intended a choice! You might well get a "pity yes", which isn't really the point! Still, happy ending - happy story - v.good! Author Reply: Well, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. This was a nice treat to wake up to this morning. Hope to see you down on the Farms soon!

It's lovely to see a story by you, T! It's been ages! Very nice to see Degger again and I am so happy at how things are turning out for him in his life! Hope to see more stories from you soon! Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed the story! I think this was GW's attempt to pull me out of hiding, lol. I will likely return again this year, but I don't know when. I do hope to get more reading in, though. I owe you a nice long letter -- or email! Thanks for stopping by to read. :-)

So great to see a story from you again.:) I really need to find and read "Hope" again. This was a sweet Yule tale. So nice to see degger and Pippin, et al as adults. Author Reply: And it's great to hear from you, too! I gave you credit in ch. 1. ;-) Thanks for catching that! Even at 8 o'clock I was knackered, lol. I enjoyed writing them as adults, but I enjoy writing Pippin at any age. :-) GW found the Challenge story, so I posted the link in the prologue and temporarily in the 3rd chapter. Thanks for stopping by to read!

Oh I just love this! I love the way Degger proposed in the snow in the middle of his own rescue and I love that his bride-to-be followed the search party in secret. I also enjoyed how you worked a bit of teasing in between Merry and Pippin during the romance. Thank you for this lovely Yule gift! It's a great read to start off the new Year with. I hope you will find time to write more this year my dear friend. Author Reply: I hope so, too. :-) I also liked the idea of Degger just doing the proposal right there in front of his friends. His bride-to-be wouldn't do anything less, but that all will come out in the telling of another story. ;-) Gotta have that banter, lol. Glad you liked your gift!

Aww...It's so good to see Degger again! What a nice little romance for him, and a bit of an adventure! I like this very much. And I'm glad to see hobbits from you again! I hope that maybe we *will* see some more soon! Author Reply: You're so sweet, Dreamflower! I really meant for Pippin to have centre stage, but the Muse went in Degger's direction. Pippin will get his day soon enough, though. ;-) I have so missed writing, but even more than that, I've missed reading yours and all the stories of my dear freinds here in this community. Rest assured, I'll scrape together the time to write, but in the meantime I'll be reading. Thank you for stopping by to read!
