The trees serve as a telepathic chatroom! lol! How wonderful that they are able to speak now and then despite the great distances between them. Author Reply: For me the Elven trees have always been a means of at least empathetic awareness between these who are so far apart physically but whose hearts always beat somewhat in chorus. Thank you so, GamgeeFest. I always appreciate your feedback.

Great idea to have Frodo and Sam discover that this snowball incident was real – for both of them! This way of communicating through the trees was such a lovely idea; I always enjoy it when the friends can sense each other this way. This time I was so glad for Aragorn and Arwen that they could sense Elrond and Celebrían, and particularly that Arwen now knows for sure that her mother is healed and happy again. Lovely, Larner! Author Reply: I would think that at this time in her life, reminded of her husband's mortality by the realization his contemporaries are dying around him or are drifting away, I'd think she'd appreciate knowing her mother, at least, is alive and thriving alongside Elrond and others she's loved. Thank you so very much, Kitty! It means so much to me!

How wonderful that they could all be gathered together from so very away, yet near at the next heartbeat and thought. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: I so agree, Antane. Thank you so!

Beautiful, Larner! I especially liked the reference to the snowball-story. It's always wonderful to imagine that they were able to communicate with each other through the trees. Happy New Year! Author Reply: I am so glad whenever I can find ways to tie one story to another. Thank you so very much! And I do hope that the Valar allowed this kind of reassurance.

Awwww...this is just so sweet and dear! I love them all gathering about the trees to let one another know how they're doing. Author Reply: Am so glad you find it so, Dreamflower. If they can't tell the thoughts exactly, at least they know one another are there and happy--and that's what's important after all. And I do believe that Arwen needed that reassurance!

What a lovely Yule gift. I loved this, and having Arwen and Celebrian able to feel one another over the leagues and bring peace to each other was absolutely marvelous. It brought tears to my eyes, wishing that I had that ability to sense my own Nana one more time. - Erulisse Author Reply: Having lost my own mother some years ago, I do understand just what you mean. And knowing that my writing has moved others emotionally means a good deal to me. Thank you!

Beautiful - just beautiful. I love the way you worked in the earlier Yule story about the snowballs. Thanks for letting Arwen have some special peace from her mother. Happy New Year to all. Author Reply: Oh, thank you so much, Utfrog! I love tying tales together. And I do believe that this would be something that would mean a great deal to Arwen! And may the new year be kind to you and yours.

How lovely. It's wonderful to imagine that they were all gifted with a Tree to help them commune with one another. Author Reply: I know. I do believe that some reassurance was allowed via this means--we need it from time to time, after all!

Thank you, again, for this lovely story - what a wonderful idea, and what a lovely connection to The First Snowfall of the Season. Author Reply: You are so welcome. And it's always fun to tie my stories together somehow.... Thanks so very much for giving me the reason to write it.
