| Well, we had one dog that wanted to mother any baby animal she came across, and when she had milk gladly suckled kittens as well as other females' puppies. She did draw the line, however, at trying to clean the bottoms of ducklings and chicks, although she would allow them to snuggle up to her, gravid or not. As a pomeranian, however, she was more of a size to actually mother a kitten than would be most greyhounds I've seen. Delightful to know Aragorn would go down a cliff to rescue a kitten! | I liked this story when I read the first version of it. I like it even better now. It's a sweet one. Trust Aragorn to be indignant at the cruelty exerted against the little kitten. It is so like him to risk bodily harm to save to little creature. I'm glad she found such a wonderful foster mom. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.
