| What a sweet story! And what a delightful for those in the West to see their loved ones they had left behind - Bilbo to see his lad and know that lad is as loved and taken care of as ever and Elrond and Celebrian to see their daughter. Love remark of Bilbo about Gandalf's ears at the beginning and the mention of Frodo and Sam's light near the end and the snowball fight too. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) | |

| What a delightful visit with both sides of the Sea! The idea of Bilbo riding on Gandalf's shoulders made me giggle! You know, you are going to have to start including the recipes with some of these lovely hobbit stories of yours! *makes puppy dog eyes* Author Reply: Hi Dreamflower, great to hear from you. So pleased that you enjoyed the little visit to Reunion-verse! I just thought Bilbo might enjoy a ride on our favourite Wizard's shoulders - it's the adventurous Took in him. Aha! I am slowly drawing up various recipes and one day will post them. Trouble is I don't measure amounts normally so I have to remember to work out amounts before writing them down. I can't resist puppy-dog eyes! | |

| Absolutely lovely, Baggins Babe! It's always great to have men, elves and hobbits together, and even better for a celebration. And it's even better to know that Elrond and Celebrķan could see their daughter so happy there. Another part I love was the inclusion of Finrod; thanks to Fiondil, I have come to love him quite a bit ;-) You realise that this reader is now getting hungry, too, just from reading about all these delicacies? A belated happy new year to you! Author Reply: I like to bring all the peoples together and nothing better than a Yule celebration and lots of hobbity fun. Yes, Fiondil has made a lot of us appreciate Finrod (and Namo)and I thought it was time to introduce him to our beloved hobbits. Yes, I was hungry writing this one! Happy New Year to you too. | |

| "Now I know why Glorfindel has remained - he always did enjoy his food." LOL!!! Great explanation! That was a nice Yule celebration, for hobbits and men alike. And I'd say the "visitors" will also enjoy a fine hobbity meal before long. BTW, I like the names you gave the hobbit children, especially "Frodoric", which was apparently altered to fit in the Brandybuck naming conventions. Frodo must be very proud of his "nephew". Author Reply: Well, Glorfindel had to stay for a reason - partly the food and partly to keep the Twins in order. I thought Elrond and Celebrian should be allowed to join in with the hobbity fun. Glad you liked the names. Frodoric appeared in a couple of the 'Growing Up Tales' and it sounded fitting in Brandybuck naming traditions. I'm sure Frodo is very proud of him. He becomes very important to a member of the Gamgee family. | |

Curiously I was reading about country customs in English villages in the 18th and 19th centuries and one of them was to burn a list of sorrows for the old year or wishes for the new. I thought they deserved a nice time. | |

What a joyful, wonderful peek at our beloved friends, east and West, every one of them loved and happy. Somewhere, somehow, it's all unfolding exactly this way. Author Reply: Ah Shirebound, you've done it again. First review - you win a dish of Frodo's special spiced mushrooms! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - I would love to think that something like this is unfolding somewhere. I suspect that Finrod, like Glorfindel, would have been re-born, since he redeemed himself by his honour and loyalty to Beren. Thought I'd introduce him to our beloved hobbits. :-) Started writing this before Christmas and RL got away from me again! | |
