Imagine how Aunt Dora would have reacted when Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin went on their own Adventure! (Although the more correct word, in their case, would be "quest".) Or when, in your Shire universe, several other hobbits volunteered, the spring after the four hobbits came back, to travel all the way to Minas Tirith to spend several months (I'm still waiting for you to complete that story!). Too bad she wasn't still alive when those events took place! =) Imagine what her reaction would have been.

This is funny. The title is wonderful, and the Over Capitalisation of Certain Words is hilarious. Thank you. Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed Aunt Dora's old-fashioned style, LOL!

Hee! Poor Bilbo, it's a good thing he didn't have to read Miss Dora's letter aloud or he'd have been out of breathe! This was too funny! Author Reply: Yes, well, she does tend to go on and on, doesn't she? LOL!

"I daresay that the Brandybucks Mean Well" LOL. That was worthy of Jane Austen. Well, Aunt Dora seems to have thought of just about everthing, including Griffo's cucumber allergy. I would love to be a fly on the wall when she teaches Frodo proper comportment. Author Reply: *grin* I thought I'd replied to this! Miss Dora would definitely rap my knuckles for Waiting to Long to Answer my Correspondence! She does try to cover everything! After all, everyone knows a Mere Male can't be expected to think of these things-- especially one who'd been on an Adventure!

As I've said elsewhere, this is so delightful, and so appropriate to the old dame! May her memory be ever blessed, as blessed as any creature of fantasy can be! I hope to meet with her one day! Author Reply: Wouldn't that be fun! I am very fond of her, myself!

She does like giving advice, doesn't she? :) The Cutest Part (and rather Surprising for such a Proper Lady) is the Suggestion that Bilbo Introduce Frodo as his Heir for the Purposes of Annoying the S-B's and the Enjoyment that Bilbo would get from that. See you after Easter! Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Well, yes, that seems to be her main hobby in life-- at least according to canon, LOL! I think she knows Bilbo well enough to realize just what buttons she can push to get him to take her advice! I hope you have a productive Lent and a blessed Easter!

The Wilds of Buckland can not be a Safe place for a Young Hobbit to grow up. I know that Menegilda and Esmeralda do their Best, but Buckland is scarcely Civilised! I love Aunt Dora. She is a joy and a delight. Author Reply: She is certainly a joy to write! She knows her own mind very well, and has no trouble at all in telling me just what she thinks, LOL! I'm so glad you enjoy reading about her!
