And the sacrifices were blest, and well blest and fulfilled in the end. Wonderful! Author Reply: Wonderful, is it, how a blessing and a knowledge of willing sacrifices could bring a man through great perils to victory?... Although, it is not always a full victory, in Tolkien's universe. And with the knowledge of what people have sacrificed for a person or a course, the winning seems all the more meaningful... Thank you for reading and reviewing, Larner, and I am sorry that I could only reply now... :embarrassed: - Rey

As I told you before, I found this a moving and perceptive story with a quite interesting take on Erestor's past, and I really enjoyed the fact that you didn't spell out the whole story, but just gave us a few fugitive glimpses necessary to make your story work. It got one of my votes. Author Reply: I am sorry that you had to review twise (here and in FFN)... Well, that is, if you did because I had not replied. I still smiled, reading your review, even now. Well, at least I continue to entertain people with my stories, although I nearly never win the monthly contest. LOL And it was a kind of wonder to me that you said I put in just enough information in the piece. Infodump is one of my weaknesses. (Have I told you that in my other reply? I have forgotten it.) Anyway, again, thank you for reading and reviewing (and voting for me in Teitho.) All are very much appreciated. - Rey

A very powerful piece. I loved it when I first read it at Teitho and fully enjoyed it the second time here. Author Reply: Wow. LOL Your review still brought me to smile even now, after months have lapsed... Thank you very much, RS. I am glad this piece entertained you even after several readings. Much honoured that it was so. Truthfully, I did not think much of this when I was writing it; kind of viewed it as a pile of scraps fitted together, in fact. I do not know if I told you this before in my reply in FFN or not... Have forgotten. But anyway, thank you for your review here in this site. :) - Rey
