| At least Lothiriel is coming out of her funk, and coming to appreciate the child she has. It will take time, but she will recover. I have a daughter--adopted. Learning I could not expect to bear a child full term was a great disappointment and grief. I am only glad for the children entrusted to me by others, step, adopted, foster, nieces, nephews, students, clients.... Author Reply: Those kids were all lucky to have you, I'm sure. It takes quite a person to mother other people's children. Seems Lothiriel needed a breath of fresh air around the place, and another child to help her accept things as they are and make the best of them.
