This is marvelous, and the ending leaves us in such suspense! You really do write beautifully. "You are used to excelling amongst your own kind," said the Queen. "I suppose I am," Aragorn conceded. "And you do," said Arwen. She moved closer to him on the couch and kissed him tenderly. I just love that passage! :) Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review and kind words.I am honoured as you write beautifully too.I'm pleased you areenjoying the story.

Learning new languages always broaden the learner's mind; but what of the teacher? Linda paints an interesting picture here; I really love it that Aragorn is experiencing a pang of jealousy over Faramir's greater acumen for swiftly learning the language of Harad. Being Aragorn, of course, the King does not let his slight resentment to influence his teaching, or his relationship with his Steward, but it does puzzle him. Arwen's explanation that Aragorn is used to being the best Man in all skills and abilities, is quite on-target. And then there's the understated humor of Aragorn's determination, at the outset, to treat Faramir (who in Linda's universe suffered from a certain amount of low self-esteem at this point in their relationship) gently and kindly and encourage the Steward no matter how long it took him to pick up the foreign tongue, only to find that Faramir is quickly sucking up the language with great skill and precision! And Faramir is putting his new-found mastery of basic Haradri language to very good use - but what will happen now, it's a cliff-hanger! More soon, please! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated and very interesting review. I'm pleased you enjoyed reading about this new experience for Aragorn!

It is good that Faramir is as skillful with languages as he proves. Now, to set a trap for these, and learn if the ambassador is party to their plots. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Yes indeed, Faramir's skill with languages is proving very useful.
