Sending Ingoldo off to tend sheep an idle fancy. not to me it isn’t. I rather like the idea and he can take his equally nasty wife with him. Picturing her as a shepardess warms my heart. I’m glad Manwe changed the subject. Namo’s pronouncement spooked me. I certainly hope nothing tragic happens to the twins. Author Reply: And of course, about a millennium later, that's just what Ingwë does -- sends Ingoldo and Tinwetariel to Formenos to tend sheep. *grin* Námo's pronoucements are always spooky. As to what may happen to the twins, only time will tell. Thanks for reading and reviewing, Tari. I really appreciate it.

That he feels Ingil or even Ingoldo would be better to go is disturbing, somehow. Of course we know that not all survive.... Author Reply: And the reason Námo thinks so will become clearer in time, Larner. And yes, we know that not all survive. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate you taking the time to do so very much.

I suppose it should have been expected, that Ingoldo would have wanted to keep his finger in the pie when he has pulled out of the meal. Ingoldo in Tirion, not a good idea. I hope Ingwion and Ingalure are happy with their descions, I still think they should trade off, 1 year on the Privy Council and 1 year in Tirion. Happy Birthday Proffessor! Happy New Year! Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Hi Lynda. We will see how the twins deal with their new responsibilties. Trading off though is just what they don't want to do, especially Ingwion, who does not enjoy sitting on the Privy Council. But whether this arrangement will be any better for them both remains to be seen. Happy Birthday, indeed, to the Professor and Happy New Year to you. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.

Another wonderful chapter. Balm to my soul after a Christmas period of family bereavement. My brother in law died just before Christmas and it took me four days to track my ex husband down to tell him. So your writing and that of the other wonderful writers on this site have been my tether to sanity. Well, we know that nothing happened to Ingwion because he ended up going with Eonwe to the War of Wrath...unless he dies and is reborn again. However he is a close friend of Findarato and as such he is in a prime position in Tirion to get caught up in the terror which sets off Feanor and some of the Noldor and results in Finwe's death. I can see him trying to hold everything together when Nolofinwe follows Feanor and I can see him desperately trying to bolster up Arafinwe when he returns, both emotionally and in the matter of trying to drag together the Noldor who are left into some sort of cohesive group. He's obviously a sensitive soul...possibly more so than his twin who seems more pragmatic somehow. I am greatly looking forward to reading more. A fascinating picture of Aman, prior to and after the death of the Trees is emerging from your wonderful writing. I imagine Ingoldo and his wife will end up trying to go with Feanor...but do they instead end up crossing the ice with the others instead? All is supposition on my part of course! Author Reply: Hello, Shemyaza. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I had a dear friend pass away the Wednesday before Christmas, and while her death was expected (she was in the terminal stages of cancer), I know I will miss her deeply. You have my sympathy. I think you may be confusing your version of things with mine. *grin* In "Elf, Interrupted" it is specifically stated that Ingwion does not join Eöwnë and Arafinwë in the War of Wrath. That honor goes to his cousin, Intarion, who dies protecting Arafinwë and others from an attack. Intarion goes to 'redeem the honor of his family' after what his atar, Ingoldo, does in this story. Ingwion is not allowed to go because many fear that he would be deliberately reckless, seeking death so as to join his twin in Mandos, and Ingwë is not willing to risk his heir's life. Ingoldo and Tinwetariel also remain in Aman, for they are there to plague Glorfindel when he is reborn. *grin* At any rate, I am glad that mine is one of the stories that helped you get through this difficult time for you (though it's rather ironic considering the subject matter) and I'm glad you are looking forward to reading more. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I greatly appreciate it. Happy New Year!
