You meant 'flora', not 'fauna', when describing medicinal plants. And, what is a 'brock'?
Yes, I like the story of the camping trip. Very realistic, really. I like ALL your stories!

Author Reply: Thanks, Lynn! Well try to remember that for next time. :) A brock is a badger, nasty little creatures which, as Fam found out, you don't want to make angry. :D

It's been quite a while since I've been camping. I think it's funner to write about. heh!

Thank you, dear! So glad you enjoyed this (and others!) *hugs*

Oh, this was wonderful! *Hugs* I love how you created such a thoroughly entertaining and much different story from my tale. Loved the hairless cat, too, and the mention of Queen Beruthiel's cats, a tale which I am really intrigued by. My story "Cat of a different colour" touches on the queen and her cohorts and I've been enchanted by the idea ever since discovering it, so I was really delighted to see how you use it here. Thank you so very much, I loved it!! I intend to respond to the story at the group's LJ as well, and apologise for not having yet done so but I have been having some difficulty with that site the last few days as it is playing up a bit, as you probably have heard on group. Anyway, I've read this twice and I'm finding new bits to be excited about each time I do! Thanks again!!!

Author Reply: *hugs* You're most welcome, dear! I'm so glad you enjoyed your remix! "Like Father, Like Son" just jumped out at me. It was so endearing and I had fun figuring out how to fit it into my own universe. Queen Beruthiel is an interesting legend. I had no intention of tying it with the hairless cats when I first wrote of them, but it served such a perfect link between Gondor and Harad for "Distractions".

LJ has been very temperamental lately. Even when you do get in, it freezes half the time. *sighs*

LOL! Like father like son, indeed!

Pippin was the one who first mentioned the hairless cat. So, he's partially responsible for what happened in the night ;-)

Like Pippin I would like to know more about a certain Rohirrim soldier and his Haradrim wife. Maybe Sam can tell us after his return :-)

Author Reply: Well, Pippin *did* tell him that there are no hairless cats in the Shire. Faramir really should have known better. ;) Of course, he's impulsive, like his father, so putting that idea in his head obviously wasn't the best idea. :D

I'm sure Sam will return with all sorts of tales to tell. :)

Thanks for reading!
