| Awww. I know what it's like to be homesick...at least, if "home is where the heart is". It's odd...once I was, technically, home, I became "homesick" for England, and in a rather hobbity fashion, missed the food quite a lot...not to mention good friends and my family. | |

| There is something each wishes for, and to protect if he can. And to wish for his brother and his father's praise speaks volumes of Faramir's life. Author Reply: My own dad wasn't one for overt praise, so when he did praise me for something I did, I held it closer than jewels. :) Thanks! | |

| Such a poignant scene. And awwww, "My mum's soup." How sweet. Author Reply: This one was another drabble inspired by events in my own life. When I was deployed in 2003 to the Middle East, I had my own list of things I was homesick for. I even had my husband send me one of his shirts that I could sleep in so I could imagine him hugging me. *smile* Every soldier, sailor, and airman away from home has something to keep close to his heart, whether a physical object or a memory, that helps him make it through until his or her return home.
